On the Sat 22, has anyone experimented with different types of wicking materials and found one produces the best flavor?

Ive ran rayon and SS mesh in my Sat 22 and to me the SS mesh just barely tastes better than the rayon.
I have also tried cotton, but it couldnt keep up with the wicking in the Sat.

But most likely not her last...

I don't know, I have so many tanks now, even I admit this is approaching insanity

Just this week I've bought clones of: k4, original Aqua, Sat 22 and Mirror. Between those and what I have, I can't imagine what else I need. Keepsmilin, you may be inheriting a couple :).

Did you post a pic in the old thread? This is my first gennie.

Not the best pic but this can give you a idea. I remember it came out to 0.8 ohms, but you might wanna try a thinner wire with more wraps.

If you have never built a Genny before I suggest looking at some videos on YouTube to get familiar with the nuances of using SS mesh.

So far I'm loving the Aqua. Of course most of my issues if any are around wicking, but thus far it's got slightly better flavor than the SilverPlay but the air on the SP is better. But WOW is it blowing through the juice. I did a 10 wrap dual coil 2.0mm ID 28awg for .67 ohms. Getting some leaking, but like I said, I'm fairly positive that's a wicking learning curve issue not an Aqua sucks issue. I'd prefer .9, but the first tank has been fairly awesome.

It was definitely MY last which is why I'm trying to get rid of mine. I got the BF-99 to work well enough for home use on cotton, but the air was a bit anemic for my tastes. The Origen Genny is designed for mesh and me + mesh == fire hazard no matter how many videos I watch

I contacted Yeahsmo through Ali about the Origen Genesis. Back on the fence about getting another one (since I missed the sale), but theirs is supposed to have the post hole and the metal tank. They just emailed me back: $13. Does anybody know about how much more shipping and fees would add to that?

I think Pclarity mentioned an Origen Genesis she wanted to unload though. That may have been what prompted Weezy's question.

Yes was referring to Pclarity's post. Sorry didn't quote. She/He said they wanted to get rid of it. I'm wanting to try it out. Might look good next to the other origens ;)

What you asking for the Origen Genesis? I kind of want to try it out.

I believe they were talking about the sat22

I was referring to my Origen(s). I held off on the Sat 22 due to airflow. PM me for details since this is not the forum for that.

ETA: I should also add that one of them I can't disassemble. FC sent it in error so I paid for it rather than ship it back. Neither have been used.

Now that I've had to get the hired help (read: hubby) to crack the threading on the base of the Aqua V2 I can finally coil it. It's so adorable! I love it just for its looks. What resistance are you Aqua lovers typically running at? Also, does anyone know if someone has made an acrylic or possibly Pyrex topper for it? I hate pmma.

Also the wicking, must touching or IN the juice wells?

Additionally, does it perform better with space coils like some other tanks I've heard or can I stick with tight coils? Loving that I can re-wick without wasting juice!

Aqua V2 is just lovely at .7 ohms, seems to be a sweet spot for it. Wicks should be pushed into the juice channels, not laying on top of them. Not sure about acrylic, but definitely no Glass tanks yet for the Aqua. And I agree, it is a good looking atomizer even as its simplistic in aesthetic design.

I'm running my Aquav2 regulated so did a 0.8 ohm build. Two 28g 3/32" coils, 8 wraps each. I run the tails to the bottoms of the base threads.

On the Sat 22, has anyone experimented with different types of wicking materials and found one produces the best flavor?

Roxy you are a lifesaver! Running the wicks all the way down seems to have solved the leaking issues. I LOVE this thing!

Roxy I did review the SAT22 so you can check that out for building with mesh. My first two RBA's were Gennies, so I have been using them for a while. I even used to build my Taifun GT with mesh as well. :)
