used the lucky money and coupons (they are working 100%) to get the Taifun TGT II-S by Hotcig ($26.40-$26.99 TGT II-S RBA clone by Hotcig - Silver) and a Kangertech Subtank Nano (this one, for a newbie friend).

about the subtanks, repairing the replaceable coils is very easy, and they perform outstanding. so the nano is the best 19mm choice. i'm also enjoying the rba of the mini a lot (after drilling its juice holes and channels to make them considerably wider).

this taifun is the first one you can disassemble the deck entirely. together with the frosted glass tank, wider air tube, juice and airflow control, i guess it's going to retire my old taifuns. i know i'm going to love it.

Did you use the lucky money and coupon on the same transaction? I didn't even try using both as didn't think it would work, and know from past experience, once added a coupon, the system counts it as used, even if don't actually checkout.

I am sold on the subtanks, I have 1 full size (25mm) that I use for work with the premade coils, and now have 2 mini's that I use at home with the RBA heads, they are so easy to build on, easy to fill and have no leaking at all, they have put all my other tanks on the shelf now.

I was tempted by the taifun 2, but then read Nikki's review on VC, and she mentioned slight leaking problems with it, so that put me off it.

yes, i did. first, enter the lucky money coupon, and click on "add to cart"; the coupon code text box will get grayed and disabled; then, click on reload page button of your browser. the coupon code text box will be enabled again, so you can enter your code and click on "add to cart". both coupons will be used.

i'm also sold to the subtank mini. i love its airflow, flavor, hit, and zero leaking issues. using about 87% vg juices, 0.5 ohms, had to enlarge the juice holes and channels of the rba to avoid dry hits over 20w. you don't have that problem with the repaired ones.

i use japanese cotton and microcoil setups with the taifuns. tried several ways to avoid leaking with the old ones. at last, found the key: leaving enough cotton outside the holes, fluffy, to cover the whole hole, spreading it to keep covering the holes completely after screwing the tank. placing the coil not too near the air hole also helps. i hope that this, together with the adjustable liquid flow by using the top of the chamber in this version, will avoid any leak.

edit: ah, also added a thick o-ring around the 510 pin, just in case (i prefer some leak through the air hole rather than through 510 pin). this version has a better sealing insulator around the 510).

Haiku, can you tell me how you enlarged the juice channels on the RBA for the subtank mini? I am very much a visual person so any pics would be greatly appreciated. I keep looking to see if I can buy an updated one separately but can't seem to find them. Repaired ones? I just bought 3 subtank minis for sandy mainly because I could build the RBA for her but sadly it won't wick the high Vg juice we use without getting dry hits, :(

i used one of this tools, manually (you can also use a dremel to do it faster): https://www.fasttech.com/product/1375401 (you can get them even cheaper in ebay)

said holes and channels, but i wanted to mean "the extremes of the channels" as "holes", because those were particularly narrow.
gonna take a pic.. wait a sec..

anyway, repairing the replaceable ones is even easier than building the rba, and they wick superb, through the 3mm holes

edit: that's why i'm suggesting the subtank nano to ladies who doesn't want to carry 22mm attys..

edit2: there are several videos in youtube, showing how to repair the stock ones

Repair as in rebuild...right? Yeah I am going to try that too.
Thanks so much for the pics. Going to give it a go this week and see if I can widen the channels. Did you also drill out the airholes in the 510 connection of the rda base? I noticed the RDA airflow holes produce a tighter draw than the replaceable ones.

yep, rebuild. pull the stock coil and wick out, build and push your own in.

i also noticed that the round air holes in the rba are smaller than the square holes in the replaceable coils. but didn't drill them yet, because it's still enough airflow for me.
now you tell it, will drill them surely, because it's better to adjust it through the afc, rather than keeping restrictions inside. thanks ;)

If you're not already, try using rayon. I use it and have zero probs wicking max VG juice through everything I own, including Kanger Protank type heads I rebuild.

I use rayon on all my devices....still going to try and drill them out a little and see if that helps. I also read to make sure the juice channels are not blocked. I thought I did that but going to try it again. The channels on those kanger subtanks are super small.

I've had no problems using the mini RBA completely stock with 90VG juice. Maybe I need higher VG.

yes, grind them, you won't regret. it took about 25 minutes here, holding the base with one hand, and sanding with the other. you can proceed same way to widen the air holes. you don't need a dremel to do it. a clamp to hold the deck can help, though.
used a pointed grinder tool first, to widen/deepen the very narrow extremes; then, a cilindrical grinder; last, a thicker cilindrical one.

using the channels of the pics, chain vaping at 25w, 0.5ohms, 87vg (pure vg, without water) + 8% distilled water + 5% pg (flavors), it's a very wet vape, and zero leaking.
only if you plan to go higher than 25w, you can consider grinding them even wider/deeper.
don't be afraid, it performs flawlessly.

ordered the taifun tgt ii-s and the subtank nano on 3/16 (yesterday).
they were shipped the same day!

faster than everyone in the world, including the online shops sited in my city.
so it depends of which items you order and the actual stock. you can be sure that they don't delay any shipment due to management. as soon they receive the item (if there wasn't stock), it's packaged and shipped with no dilation.
