Hi everybody, been awhile since I posted in here, so I thought I drift by and give everybody a big Hello :)

Brought my Kato I bought from FC back into rotation earlier this week and decided while it was at the shop to refinish the aluminum section, so I opted for a sandblasted look for the aluminum with brushed SS accents.

I feel kinda old school rocking this mod with a Taifun now. Seems everybody went to regulated devices or to bottom feeders, so I thought I would bring some mech love back in :)

knowing Bunny's intelligence and will, we'll be chatting fully in spanish in a couple months.. she already uses lot of spanish "palabras" now (great joke, about the "parábola", lol).

"mijo/a" is a latinamerican word, result of joining "mi hijo/a". right pronunciation would be "meeho/a" or "meehau/meeha".
we don't use that word in spain, although the expression "mi hijo/a", applied to non-relatives, is used at the west/south of spain.
also in the south, "quillo/a" (pronounced "keejo/a"), abreviature of "chiquillo/a" (little boy/girl), is used a lot.

greetings to all, sorry for being away all this time (i couldn't stalk even).
triggered the group buy bottom feeder, to try..
i'm also looking for a bottom air dripper; freakshow or samurai. if freakshow mini delivers same flavor than regular, would take one (which one from fc is better? the wotofo or the other one?). or plume veil, side air..

Haku, mi amor  I miss you hun, so glad that you popped in just in time to join in the love and banter regarding Bunny's growing tri-lingual abilities. :) Weezy said she was even speaking Spanish to him in an email ... gotta luv that girl! :D

Get ready for lots of giggles and warm tingly feelings with she starts skyping you in Spanish, which will be great for her as I am sure you would make a better part-time instructor than I. :)

Haven't tried the the Freakshow RDA (no lo quiero) but I would guess the Wotofo would be the best one since its their atty. As for the Smok Owl which is now called the Terminator, I think in the long run most people will get the most use out of BF atty which is nice. Since BF devices are on the rise and I know that Waidea has plans to release a couple within the coming months, I look forward to trying the Smok Owl atty with an even better BF. :)

Drifter that looks great! I have actually warmed up a bit to sandblasted finishes, and this is awesome. Your set up is not old school, its classic darling. ;-)

My Kato is in my pocket every work day. I think it's the perfect work mod. :thumb:

That looks killer, bro. Nice job.

thanks Nathan :)

Thanks Nikki, wasn't sure if I was gonna like the sandblasted finish but now that's it's done I think I'm gonna keep it :)
Since I've kept every mod I have ever purchased I have plenty of "classics" to rotate thru ;)

I agree, it's a perfect mod for work :) This is the first time I put a Taifun in it and I'm really liking this combo. What atomizer are you running on your Kato at work?

So far, the ones I've seen all have that obscenely wide drip tip.

I like the Billow on there, but it sucks up too much juice. Usually I have a Subtank Mini or an Orchid on it, depending on my mood. I have a Lemo Drop I haven't used yet, that will be my next combination.

On a semi related note, when I go to the vape shop to get some juice and don't want them to try to sell me hardware that day I take a Kayfun on a Nemesis. They call that retro and don't try to sell me new stuff. :sneaky: A few weeks ago I went in there with an MT3 on an eGo. They just didn't know what to say. :D

On an unrelated note, I've applied for a job in Salem to try and avoid relocating to Atlanta. I have an interview next week. If I get the job we'll have to do lunch. My treat. :)

I wish you luck and hope you get that job in Salem :) I know you were dreading relocating to GA so I really hope that things work out for you :) Lunch sounds great, always nice to meet a fellow vapor in the wild :D

All those sound like great matches for the Kato, its great to be able to rotate different attys and change the look to suite your mood :)

I loved that story at the vape shop with your "retro" gear LOL
MT3 on a ego, thats just awesome LOL I bet you got some looks :D

I have amassed over 50 mods and 80% of them are considered "retro" now. To me each mech has its own charm and appeal and I just cant seem to let them go....so...... they will continue to be in rotation so each gets a little love now and then.

Drifter, that sandblast finish in the kato, together with the brushed ss, is stunning. you are the true artisan.

thank you, Nikki and Cindy. i'm going to leave the freakshow then, will check samurais v1 and v2, plume veil, and maybe marquis (i'm doing derringer, magma, zenith, and quasar now)

Nikki, I love your playa avi! It's so you!
Did somebody custom-do that for you?

Aww thanks honey boo! :) I stumbled across this pic a couple of years ago on the internet actually (can't remember where exactly) and thought of myself as soon as I saw it  I figured if I was a cartoon character, then this is what I would look like. I saved it with the intention of using it as an avvy one day .. only took two years :p

This is the full size version ..

Argh ... I HATE those drip tips. I am doing a Sub ohm Tank comparison review as I type this, and I cannot get past that God awful super wide bore of the Atlantis 2  .. and you cannot change the DT on the Atlantis 2 :glare:

If you're lazy like me you get used to them. I hated them at first, but I have a Chuff style cap on a couple of my drippers for convenience. The bore is big enough so you can see down in there and easily tell if you need to re-drip, and you can fit any kind of juice bottle in there without taking off the cap/tip.
