i don't know chemistry at all, but other people have said the chemical that reacts with plastic tanks doesn't react with tissue.
we eat and drink orange all the time.
I guess it's the opposite of some acid, it will eat through flesh and metal, but it won't eat certain plastic (hello breaking bad)

something that I find interesting
there is 1 atom difference between water h2o, and hydrogen peroxide h2o2

we drink coca cola, which has Phosphoric acid that can break down organic tissue, but poses little threat to our stomach unless consumed in unhealthy quantities.

Sodium (Na) is a reactive metal that could explode in water. Clorine (Cl) is a poisonous yellowish greenish gas (a member of the Halogen group! didn't know that until now).

But together as NaCl, you have table salt. Sprinkle liberally on fries.

Chemistry? Who can tell from Chemistry? Like the beautiful chemistry between wheeez (emitter of various gasses) and AngiBe (Highly reactive to water, unless tempered with vodka).

The human stomach is lined with a thick layer of mucus, which is mostly impervious to acids.

Perhaps one could line a Triton tank with mucus so that they could safely vape tank cracking liquids...

we have the wheez layered in mucus. Yea, I know it sounds gross, but somehow, he works it.
