What company was it from? If you are ordering juice from China it is best to contact the vendor before placing your order to inquire about any "special instructions" that will improve your chances with customs. Most companies have a way around it, but if you don't make a note of the requirement, the shipment will often go out as normal.

Sorry to hear that.

If your order does not contain nicotine, you can get it released. Ive battled HC multiple times over seized orders, and was able to force them to release my package to me every time.

Everytime, the reason they gave for denial was that the package contained nicotine. NONE of these times, did my packages actually contain nicotine, nor did they include anything that could even be mistaken for being nicotine. Its a blanket reason for denial they will give for any e-cig components they encounter. If you know your package has no nicotine, challenge the SOBs, thats what I did, and won everytime.

But watchout, after HC realizes they can't refuse the shipment, they forward it to the CBSA. Apparently, as a citizen of Canada im not even allowed to contact the CBSA. HC told me theres no phone number for them, and that I had no way to inquire about my package to the CBSA. 10 weeks later, the CBSA release it.

It works like this. If you tell them they are e-cigs for inhaling, your order will be denied most likely, even if there is no nicotine. Get creative, if you claim it as anything other than that, your good to go in my experiences.

"e-cigs? no sir, these are hand warmers that I intend to use on my upcoming baffin island expedition".
"e-cigs? no sir, these are aromatherapy diffusers I intend to use in my @home spa"
"e-cigs? no sir, these are pocket lights I intend to use for reading and finding things in my purse"
"e-cigs? no sir, these are ________ (non nefarious item) that I intend to use for _______ (non nefarious purpose)".

Yeah, I read post #3, it says that he doesn't want to say what it was, I am not sure what he meant by "how"? but I don't see how that or saying where its from is relavant to anything. The paranoia around here is really irritating sometimes. OMG they got my GH1 order of juice, ok, so you got busted one time, all I was saying is that certain companies have special labelling for juice shipments to Canada that can be included in the order comments section. If it was a juice order, than we all know that that is a risk we are taking as orders from China seem more susceptible to seizures. If it wasn't juice, then perhaps there is something that can be done about it. I think it would benefit all of us to know what the shipment was so that we can use our own judgement weighing the risks next time we order overseas. I for one don't think twice to get all my hardware from China because I consider it no risk, but if all of a sudden they are refusing entry to batteries, atties or cartos, I may consider leaving certain items out of my next order and picking them up somewhere else so I don't have to worry about my entire order being turned away. Correct me if I am wrong but I don't see how any of the withheld information is helpful to "lurkers".

Well my shipment from china was seized and sent back to China. First order from there too. I think those guys at Canada Customs in Vancouver are working overtime to catch everything.

That sucks! I just got a flavored nic juice order from the United States and no problems. Knock on wood!

Yes that is very good idea Lelly! When I orderd my flavorless nic juice I told them to be discreet and they put it was aroma oils on the packing slip. Then with this new shipment I just received from Oklahoma, it was sent as a gift. So I think you need to let the vendors know about the ban and ask to be packaged and shipped discreetly. I also know, if you order other things with your juice such as let's say juice bottles, they won't even open it cuz they can feel plastic in there that is empty. If you order huge bottles of things, and I mean 500ml or more, it is more likely to get searched then seized.
