Now this is a weird one.
Posted a thread in this section " Pages on forum not available".
The advice was to clear cache and cookies.
Did that and could then reach the page I couldn't before - Hooray.
But then I couldn't open the post " Pages on forum not available" that I'd opened previously so couldn't post that problem was solved.
Very weird behaviour.
I'm guessing that I won't be able to load this post once I've posted it
Any body have any idea what's going on.

Strange.

It's some kind of a local problem. Do you use a laptop? What version of Windoze, what browsers, please?

If you had a laptop I'd suggest wiping all browsers, clean all deep cookies (requires CCleaner or similar), shutting down, removing all cables, turn it over and remove the laptop battery, hit the On button without the battery in or any cables connected (dumps any capacitative voltage), insert battery and connect cables, power up, restart browser and try ECF again.

This procedure fixes intractable problems in laptops that appear to have nothing to do with anything.

On a PC I'd do the same except remove the power cable at the point where 'battery' is used above.

Don't ask how this fixes stuff because nobody knows - it just does. Maybe it exorcises the ghosts in the machine or something.

Usually attributed to a timing issue between real time and the internal system clocks on the machine. Removing all sources of power for 5-10 minutes (including batteries on notebooks) fixes those timing issues.
