For those of you who saw my earlier posts, I can't cape at my desk anymore. A guy complained he could smell the vapor from 40 feet away and that it made his skin break out. Plus he didn't like the hiss of my cargo tank.

I have a word for this guy but I am not sure what the rules are about profanity on the forum.

We had free reign vaping at where I worked too till word came down from above (I work for a big retail chain) that it was no longer allowed. Somebody complained and since vapers are not viewed much differently then smokers we get the short end of the stick. Over time they have forgotten about the ban, it might help that i e-mailed several of the higher ups with studies on e-cigs relationg to second hand vapor and the reduced harm, along with a copy of their "quit smoking initve". this might work for you too. Sadly till this chump gets fired or they changer their mind, you might have to deal.

Get vindictive. Wait for him to go to the bathroom and forget to lock his computer then send a nasty-gram to the boss from his computer/email. If that doesn't work, you could always plant some contraband in his desk then notify security. Either way problem solved.

Disclaimer: The preceding message was in jest. I would never actually suggest getting someone fired.

I lean over and rub my neck like it hurts and take a nice drag and hold it in for a while.

People must think my neck hurts something awful lol.

I feel like it's only a matter of time until I'm told to stop. Although I do find myself being much more productive since I don't leave for breaks during the day.

Verdicts still out where I work. I don't press the issue, I'm sure they'd say something along the lines of" unbecoming, or not professional" either way, more restroom breaks or a quick sneak for me.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, myself. Leaving your desk and walking for 5 minutes out of every 90 is supposed to be healthier. It gets rid of toxins built up by sitting for long periods of time.

basically, they are unintentionally forcing you to be more productive, happy and healthier.
and let's face it. It's nice and novel to be able to vape at the desk like people used to do with analogues but not more than a small annoyance to have to get up occasionally.

We used to vape with discretion at work. Then one day a smoker decided to join our little bandwagon (good for her for getting onto vaping and giving up the fags)Well. She was like," look at me! I'm smoking and it's legal and everything!". She would get out her cigalike at all times of the day and even in front of managers/customers.
Well. You know how the story goes. She got the vaping banned and we are now looked upon the same as smokers. To make matters worse she then proceeded to start smoking again as vaping was banned, completely oblivious to the filthy looks she was getting from her vaping colleagues.
What a complete showoff dork. And then she wonders why no one likes her
Please god fart on this woman's face and do us all a favour.

BTW us stealth vapors still do it, so "up yours" rules
Difference now is that we get disciplined when caught.
There are only 2 rules in life.
#1 don't stitch yer friends up
#2 if yer gonna do something wrong don't get caught.
I've lived by these 2 rules and so far have not been caught.
