So I have been vaping on one of mount bakers eliquids for a while, the name goes by German Chocolate Beefcake. Anyway I recently took the plunge to try some sweeter / fruitier blends such as Jizmogoblin and Spew from their GWAR line. See links below....

Jizmoglobin - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes

Spew - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes

I tried to find the answer myself but to no avail, none of my questions were easily answered. Most of the answers I found were just "speculation" or preference of someone else who didnt want the coloring in their tank. So after about an hour of research im left more confused now then when I started. Anyway here are my questions regarding the food coloring within juices such as these.

1. Does it gunk up the coils quicker? (I will probably be using these in my lemo, so I wanted to know so I dont have to build a coil every other day for the tank. Also mount baker did say that the colored versions of these juices dont gunk up the coils any faster then their uncolored counterpart. So I just wanted to double check with you guys.)

2. Will it stain my tank at all, especially the glass or anything else?

I've never found a juice that stained any of my tanks- glass or plastic.

As for gunking up the coils, it won't do that either. Most (if not all) of the coil "gunk" is airborne particulates like dust, pollen, pet dander, etc. that get sucked into your atomizer through the airhole.

Edit: particulate laden e-juice, like NET (naturally extracted tobaccos) will gunk up your coils from the e-juice, but that isn't a concern with "normal" e-juice.

Alright, so even those bright ... green juices, wont stain nothing on my tank ... hopefully lol. So basiaclly like with all sweet flavor juice, it shouldnt gunk it up any faster because of the coloring then? It was pure stupidity on my end I knew I should of ordered the uncolored one, I ordered it off my phone and before I knew it was too late to cancel. But im receiving them tomorrow, and might as well use them, so just wanted to make sure it wouldnt stain and or gunk up a coil every other day lol.

There's been concerns raised over the safety of vaping colored ejuices.

My opinion, for what it's worth, is that the amount of coloring used to color a bottle is so minuscule, a vaper ought to be able to vape it with little to no long term risk, especially when compared to the long term risk already accumulated just from being a smoker previously.

There's a ton of information out there regarding coloring in e-juice, and all of it is either fear mongering or opinons. There has been no research or studies done on inhaled colorings.

There was a recent study in the New England Journal of Medicine regarding formaldahyde levels in e-cigarettes being higher than in cigarettes. I dug into the actual data used in that report and came to the conclusion that for my level of vaping (2-3 ml/day @ 4.2 v) I would have to vape for over a year to reach the same levels of formaldehyde inhalation found in one pack of cigarettes. 99% of vapers vape in my range of juice consumption and voltage (or lower).

Yet newspaper headlines around the country read "STUDY SHOWS E-CIGARETTES HAVE MORE FORMALDEHYDE THAN CIGARETTES."

Do your research, vape what you want, and worry more about flavorings than colorings.

Thank you for the intel. Like I said I tried to do some researching of my own into the matter. And everything I came up with was more ... opinion then fact. Thats why I got fed up and just came here to ask. Between everyone here there is hundreds if not thousands of years of knowledge when you add everyone up lol. But I just wanted to be on the safe side of things. All I need to do is go from one negative right into another just because of coloring ..... haha

Anyway thank you for replying, much appreciated.

I have never used those particular juices but when I started making my own juice I started using sweeteners. I also noticed that my coils where getting gunkier faster and stopped using it in my DIY. Of course this is only my observation. None of the juice I have ever bought or made have stained any of the glass or plastic atomizers/tanks. Not sure what is up with that. Good luck to you and happy vaping.

If you are still trying to find more juices that you like, here is a wonderful thread that has sales listed from good vendors. I used to use it all the time.

We have not tried Spew, but my daughter and I have vaped our way through several bottles of Jizmoglobin each. We have had no problems with staining, and it does not gunk our coils any more than other flavors with a similar profile. Jizmoglobin is a fairly regular reorder for us, and we find it to be a very enjoyable flavor. We use standard Evod 650 mah batteries with Evod Glass and single Kanger coils.

Just my opinion and preference, but personally, I don't want anything in my e-liquid that isn't necessary. I could care less how cool it looks in the tank, only that it tastes good, doesn't have an offensive odor on exhale, and vapes well.

To each their own, just my :2c:

I vape Pluid as an all day vape. Its green as green can be! Have had no issues with discoloration or gunking. Have also vaped my fair share of the GWAR MBV juices! All really good (and I don't like MBV). If you're worried they make colorless versions of all of them. I dont buy them cause I like the colors!!
