Was talking to a guy today about the e cig experience. I am a total newbie but he has been doing this about 6 months. The conversation came around to juice and eventually vapor production. He said that he adds some food grade Glycerine he got at Michael's to most of his juice. He said it is used to "restore consitency of icing colors" according to the label.

I asked how much and he said he just "eyeballs it" but likely around 1/3 glycerine to 2/3 juice. He said it greatly increases the amount of vapor he gets.

Just wondering if this is legit? Has anyone heard of or done this? If so whats the formula or percentage of glycerine to juice you use?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I am still learning the ropes....Thanks for any response.

Food grade glycerine is another name for the VG you see mentioned everywhere on ECF. It is known to give less TH, mute flavours somewhat but increase vapour. A lot of us mix PG with a percentage of VG to give good TH but also boost vapour. I mix at 75% PG / 25% VG. Pure VG is quite thick so often it is cut with 10% or so distilled water first before mixing with PG to make it thinner and easier to wick & vape. Hope that helps :)

Yes adding VG will increase vapor unless the liquid already has a large percentage of VG in the mix. I wouldn't recommend it though. If you add 1/3 VG to a already made juice you will get the result your wanting but you also decrease the flavor and nic percentage by 1/3.

If you want a large percentage of VG in the mix many venders let you choose the VG/PG ratio that you want when you're purchasing. That's the route I'd go that way you don't decrease the flavor and nic.
