I think this will be a nice tank to try.........if I see it in a vape shop wil probably buy it at 39.00..........I am impressed with the top fill thing --very quick no need to turn upside down.

The anti spit design of the coil is also quite cool........large glass tank looks nice.........

Trucker,

The anti spit thing is very cool I have not hat a hot spit hit my tongue yet. As far as the top fill I just set my mod on the counter top unscrew the top piece and fill. I don't even bother to shut the air flow down and it doesn't leak during the fill or any other time for that matter.

PS - I have filled to the brim but I think it is a better idea to leave about 1/4" gap at the top so when you screw the top back on you don't pressurize the lank and force a leak.

I never had so much inner struggle on whether to buy a rta or not i have always been a footoon fan after i tried the aqua v2 but i never saw so many mixed opinions on an atomizer before. I have the clone from ft in my cart since the day it showed itself but i am still reluctant to pull the trigger... Your thoughts people? Are you still using your own fx or have you sell/throw away it?

You can pick one up from Fasttech for $21 bucks. So you are not going out on a financial limb to give it a try. For what it is worth I like the He!! out of mine.

I just received my Aqua FX (the $21 Fasttech version) and I'm thoroughly impressed. Great flavor, Great Vapor, No leaks at all.
OK it's a different rebuild procedure but it doesn't look difficult at all to me ......and even if it takes me a little practice to rebuild it I'm not going to mind. The vape is THAT good. The only tank I have that is in the same league is the Ubertoot and that has a little bit of a condensation/seepage issue which I'm working on. For the simplicity of filling, the great vape and the overall quality of the fit and finish the Aqua FX is a definite keeper in my opinion. This beats the Hurricane, The Mark Bugs GEM, the latest Chuthulu and every other tank I own except the Ubertoot...and I'm not sure it won't beat the Ubertoot once I've built the coil I prefer.

Bye the way the only difference I believe there is between the "Fasttech Aqua FX style" atomizer and the authentic is the lack of the sticker guaranteeing authenticity. I can see no difference and talking to a friend who has the authentic we can't find a difference.

I love it.

Do you have issue on the coil rod? Mine seems too big to insert in the ceramic cup. Besides, I'm impressed and happy with mine.

Yes, one of my ceramics was too tight to fit on the rod. A couple of minutes with the rod in a drill and some fine sandpaper solved that problem. Dimensions on molded and sintered ceramics are a matter of the exact particle size of the ceramic starting powder and are not super precise so there will be a little dimensional variation on the ID of the ceramic bit. Not a problem since it's easy to solve by just reducing the diameter of the metal rod a bit.

One of the neat things about the Aqua FX is the way the air control increases or decreases the volume of the tank a little. That makes it actually possible to do a top fill with absolutely no leakage since the pressure in the tank can be manipulated.

Just about every top filler I've ever tried had just a little leakage into the lower air chamber after filling. With the Aqua FX I turn the atty upside down and give it a few seconds for the juice to drain down from around the coil chamber then close the air control.

I then turn it upright, remove the fill cap, fill the tank and screw the cap on only to the point where the O ring begins to contact and invert the atty again and tighten that cap and then open the air control to the degree I want it to be. That allows the pressure to in the tank to equalize with atmospheric pressure.

Doing this I have found absolutely no leakage into the lower air chamber.

I have a feeling that if a coil needed a little bit more of a shot of liquid to finish a prime that closing the air control a bit would force liquid into the wick since closing the air control reduces the chamber volume and increases the pressure above the liquid.

Where can the Aqua fx and coils be purchased in the USA? The fast tech version fully compatible with the coils? The price ain't bad so I'd rather buy authentic and support fotoon honestly. But if I can't find one or the coils fast tech it is

Yes the clone is compatible with the real thing. Also If you search FT for "Aqua FX" you will be presented with the real thing and the clone. You pick which you want. As far as spare parts the only place I know of is the the UK Vape shop that "Todd" the reviewer on YouTube list in his review of the Aqua FX.

So do they sell the coils here? All I see is the clone on fast tech. I'm surprised fotoon would allow fast tech to carry it when they sell the clone too.

This isn't a good tank for mouth to lung is it? Seems like fotoon really changed directions. They went from rebuild able flavor atomizer to more mass produced lung hitter. I'm considering tying it since the coils can be rebuilt but I'm not sure if it will be my cup of tea.

Well I don't know why you couldn't find the clone and the original it right here: FastTech - Gadgets and Electronics

And yes it will do lung hits. It is a smidge tight but not bad.

Make a horizontal 2.5mm coil on the figs. Draw is tighter and flavour is better.

What do you gain by building horizontal?

The coil will heat up faster and a much tighter draw (think kayfun or GT) which also helps with more intense flavour. You can also save on battery life as using 16 watts on the horizontal coil gives me the same vape as using 25 watts on a vertical coil. Plus the base don't heat up so fast.
