If the ranch is still around and thriving at retirement time, I am able to see giving a
volunteer hand or two on a regular basis.

Wow, there don't seem to be many 'cat people' on ECF.

Since it's just us few cat people here ... don't you think it's odd how some 'dog people' seem to take great pride in their disdain of cats? Maybe it's just people in my neck of the woods? Although I know plenty of people who just love all kinds of animals, including both cats and dogs ... I don't know how many times I've heard someone say, in a boastful tone, "I HATE cats!"

That just seems so weird to me.

your observation is correct. Take a peek back at the cat-in-trash thread. It brought out the non-
cat people in droves.

That's amazing! I would love to be able to do that some day. Does he ever adopt them out? I looked at the website but didn't see anything about that.

I have two cats myself and love them to pieces. I too find it odd how some people despise cats, my boyfriend being one of them. My sisters boyfriend also claims to hate cats but my cats tend to be kinda pushy and by the time he leaves they are both curled up on his lap. I have found that those that claim that they hate cats have had a bad experience with one and expect that they all behave the same way.

That drives me crazy...I had a dog lover telling me once that cats don't have personalities. I have always had cats, and every one has had a different personality. And I have always been lucky to have loveable, cute cats. I could never not have at least one.

(Not that I hate dogs or anything, I just hate the way they jump on you, stick their noses in your crotch, bark constantly, etc. )

Man thats crazy!!! Thats a ton of cats! If it was closer to me I could spend like 3 weeks at the Caboodle ranch. I have 4 cats myself. 2 boys and 2 girls all related. I adopted a whole litter that lost their mommy from a local shelter. <3 my cats to death tho. It made me happy to watch those videos...thanks for shearing.

Cat person here (and parrots !). Loved those videos !!!! All of my cats have been rescues.
