I'm not sure what you mean by "I blew out the cart" but I'm guessing you meant that you blew out your atty. A new atomizer does comes with some type of preservative fluid to keep it fresh from the factory. All I have done is as someone has already said, blow hard several times through the threaded end of your atty with your lips surrounding the entire brass piece into a tissue. Then carefully insert some twisted tissue all the way inside your atty to absorb as much of the preservative as you can. Then blow in the opposite direction hard several times and wipe the threaded end dry thoroughly.

What I then do (some people don't like doing this) is attach my atty to a battery and push the button but only for about 3 seconds to help "cook-off" some of the remaining preservative. I do this perhaps 3 times and I also blow out the light steam created inside my atty really well to help cool down the atty each time (wait about 30 seconds between dry burns).

Then put your cart on your atty (make sure it is fully seated) and wait at least one full minute. This gives the atty time to cool down and allows the e-juice from your cart to be absorbed into the atty. Next, lightly take a couple of 3-4 second vapes into your mouth and blow it out without inhaling. Wait another minute and start your light vaping as you wish. It may take perhaps a dozen light vapes to help eliminate the preservative taste from your atty, but that is what has to be done.

Whatever you do, don't get frustrated too quickly - you have to be a little patient. Once that atty is "broken in" you will be in what I call "Vaping Heaven". Also, if you feel the need to grab an analog (regular cig) and light up, then go right ahead. These e-cigs are not advertised nor intended to be a smoking cessation device (however we know they can be) and more than a few vapers also grab an analog throughout their day as they slowly ween themselves off of them.

I hope this information helps you. Once you've got your atty broken in you will not be disappointed!

Hold fire on doing this until you're a bit more experienced - it's easy to burn your atty out or create nasty burnt flavours that are hard to remove.

First try rinsing it out in EverClear grain alcohol. The very high proof makes it evaporate. I would rinse it first with a cheaper vodka or even water to get most out, then with the EverClear to help it dry out quick (kinda like the spot free rinse at the carwash). Pop on one of the rubber caps with a piece of paper towel on the open end, and spin it around or shake it like an old mercury thermometer so any liquid gets forced out. Then roll up a paper towel and lightly press it to the wicking to help suck any moisture out.

You can try any or all of the above. I normally rinse with water and blow out, but because you can't, I would rinse water, rinse ever clear, shake like thermometer or spin, and wick out the rest if any.

is there another option to blowing out the atty ?
the reason i ask is because i had a brain surgery in 07 that left me with facial palsy and i cant really get a tight grip with my lips.
save the jokes i've heard'em:lol:

Yes. If you stand it on a piece of kitchen towel for as long as poss (thread end upwards), ideally 48 hrs or at least overnight this will help a lot.:)I wouldn't try soaking it in anything at this stage - many users have reported that they have killed working atomisers with rinsing/soaking.

Somebody said that the "Intex double-quick mini hand pump" fits atties perfectly...if you have trouble blowing out atties, it may just be a very useful item to have.

Intex Recreation 59613 DOUBLE-QUICK MINI HAND PUMP 11-1/2" for Sale

Edit: Thread I got it from to credit the original poster who discovered it.

Hope this helps. :)
