I was TOTALLY! gna buy the atlantis, buy i have a rule about things that say...its totally awsome but...IT WILL BLOW YOUR FREAKINN FACE OFF!!!
THAT IS ABSOLUTLY CRAY CRAY!!!!
I didn't see the warning....but if it is on the new sub ohm coil heads it is smart to put a warning out there. Basically, if you are going to vape with practically no electrical resistance you need to know the limits of your battery. Sub Ohm coils draw a lot of current out of a battery.
People who do not use regulated mods like the Provari have to be careful that they do not use a battery that cannot produce enough amperage to support the sub ohm coil. When you quickly discharge a battery and overtax it, it can go into thermal runaway and yes, it can explode.
We are constantly warning vapers who use mods with no power regulation to use batteries with the highest possible "maximum continuous discharge rating" and to charge them frequently. Also, we suggest to them that if they are building coils below 1 Ohm that they should enlighten themselves as to how many amps a build will draw by using an Ohm's Law calculator.
You have 'Varis so you don't need to worry about that because the Provari will cut off before it will let you draw all of the current from the battery. In some cases, if the Ohms on your coil are too low, it will not fire because the device itself has an amp limit.
You can use coils down to 0.8 Ohms on your Provari 2.5 with no worries.
(16) Explain it for the dumb noob: Ohm's Law calculations.
Yep, that is a Baditude Blog....
Battery safety is serious business. I know you are being "cute Kelly"

but I am going to stick to Ohms when I discuss this with you because others will read it and I don't want people getting confused about something as important as electrical safety.
Your current rig is safe Kels, it won't let you make mistakes.
