Oh wow, Safira, you must get snow and ice every single year then! I moved from So. Oregon to NE Oregon where it snowed every year, but after a year of that, brrrr, I moved back to the CA beach. Now I'm extreme SoCal (60 mi. from Mexico). I've never lived in weather extremes (being raised in Santa Barbara). You must be one tough, strong-willed lady to tough it out. You're awesome to be able to do it! I guess I'm kind of whiney when I get cold.

Keeping all you wonderful ladies in the mid west in my thoughts and prayer's, please stay safe. Seabrook, I moved from So Calif to Idaho 30 years ago and you could,nt get me to move back there for a million bucks, although San Diego is a nice area, there's just to much traffic and it's sooo crowed and busy down there, nothing like it was 30 year's ago, these old bone's can't handle that anymore.LOL

Hubby can't drive down our street he is stuck at home until the plows can reach the side streets. Unfortunately he was pissing and moaning at 5:30 this morning waking up everyone in the house. Looking outside all us neighbors need to help each other out, snow drifts are as high as 5 feet and the snow blower does not like this snow.

Did I hear that we aren't done yet, that they expect 3 more inches today? ..., in Chicago is closed, that is so weird to me. Even when they were working on it in the 80's I don't think it was totally closed off. I don't know maybe it was. Anyone else remember that song about Lake Shore Drive, or was that just popular in the Chicago area?

That reminds me of Bayshore Blvd. in Tampa.

Gaparilla pirate Fest parade down Bayshore. Gasparilla was last weekend. Our answer to Mardi Gras.

That does look a lot like ... MK, but with better weather. Growing up I remember everyday on the news there was a bad accident on that road. It was originally built with a nasty "S" curve, they though the view as you approached the lake was cool. After years and years of this they redid the road without the curve. The curve might be in that video someplace. But that is the only time I can recall the road being shut down, and I don't think the whole road was. As of right now it is still a parking lot. The Chicago mayor hasn't been seen today either, Chicagoan's don't like it when their mayor doesn't handle a blizzard perfectly.

I sure hope everyone is doing better today and got dug out from the snow. I read on the Google news page last night that flights were going to be resumed today. Hopefully that's a good sign of a positive shift. I also read that some of the scientists claim the typhoon in Australia is a result of the global warming and wonder if that's what's up lately everywhere.

Thanks kimerpuff, all dug out, even ventured out to pick up my eye glasses. You gals are even better looking than I thought. I have been taking some cool pictures the past few days. The great news is the kids all go back to school tomorrow. Unless my mother calls asking for help I might get a quiet day to myself. (practice my guitar would be nice)
