Good post, but my philosophy is completely 180 degrees from yours. I want to buy once and enjoy over the long haul. My parents were from the depression era, and taught me to cost average my purchases over time.

I DIY to save money on juice.

I bought a battery holder that won't need replacing, only the rechargeable batteries will need to be, and they cost less than a disposable chinese battery. A little more up front to save money over the long haul.

I got away from the chinese disposable juice systems. I bought the DID clone for $12. All I need to replace is wire and mesh, and a little of that lasts a long, long time. No more disposable heads, no more burnt out cartos.

No more buying anything if I don't want to, I have enough hardware and juice to last me literally years now without having to rely on chinese disposable stuff. If a tax is passed on nicotine or the taxes on imported chinese items or even vaping supplies is levied, I am ready to vape without spending ONE CENT literally for 2 to 3 years just for an investment up front.

YMMV. Bring on the tax or zombie apocalypse, this girl is getting her nicotine!

For me, avoiding the satanic E LIQUID SUB-FORUM is the key concept here.

With the help of ECF, I did spend a bit on a good quality mod and glass tanks, but I don't regret that one bit. My current set up works well and I don't feel the least bit inclined to buy elaborate new hardware.

What I do regret is the gazillion 10ml bottles of unused juice that I ordered because CERTAIN REVIEWERS are so insidiously eloquent. :glare: You people are just . . . evil.
