So, I am sure most people have noticed that many companies advertise that making the switch from analogues to ecigs will save money. Sure, when a pack of cigarettes and a bottle of liquid are put together, this is most likely true, but I am wondering how many of you guys are saving money? I know that I am always ordering new liquids, attys, drip tips, and have recently jumped into the mod pool, so I am certainly not saving any money. Do I think this is a bad thing? Hell no. I love each and every purchase I make, but I know I am tossing more money into my vaping than I did smoking analogues. So, is there anyone out there that has a growing savings because of the switch from analogues to ecigs, or are most like myself, spending a much higher amount on awesome accessories to enhance the vaping experience?

I was spending $5 a day but I did not quit smoking to save money.. Granted I have bought 3 kits and many juices but I tend not to put prices on my health and pleasure, I will break even soon enough.

If not. Who cares? This way cheaper than my other hobbies and you can drop $100 easy on a half way good meal with a bottle of wine.

lol well my origonal intent on starting to vape was to save money... i never intended to quiet it just kind of happened... so i guess it didn't work out for me considering the 200ml of juice i have and more dual cartos and accessories on the way :D but i've always had a problem with spending money due to always having money due things i've done. but considering i only smoked for 8 years and i quit at 20 years old i say it's worth whatever i spend to not put the drain on my family. i could care less if i live to 80 ( that might change over time) but if it makes my loved ones happy then it's worth it to me

Absolutely. I did not quit smoking because of the cost either. I hope most people realize that they should start vaping for reasons far more important than their checking account. I'm not trying to judge vapers for spending a decent amount on vaping--I am sure you noticed that I admit that I do it myself, and that I am totally okay with it. It is more of a curiosity, really, just some interesting ecig related conversation for the forum.

Once you get past the equipment, it is inevitable ...there is a massive savings.
$2.00 a carto compared to $6.50 a pack of cigs, pays the basic equipment off fast. Then if you choose to refill, the carto cost drops big time. $.50c a refill and an occasional carto replacement ( add $2.00 every 5th to 10th refill).

It takes a few weeks to pay off the equipment and the rest is up to you. Ya want to dump on options and extra's, you still are bucks ahead in the long run. I don't see much need for many options, myself.
Basics work fine, plus maybe a carrying case and a few additional batteries and chargers.

Oh, and as you get older, you'll rethink that living to 80 thing. I want to go till 105

I know what you mean. I just emailed my grandmother for her birthday and tossed in that I have been vaping for months. After explaining what exactly vaping is, she replies letting me know that that is the best birthday gift I could have given her. Pretty much everyone has been ecstatic with the switch from cigarettes to the ecig. Differing, though, I didn't tell anyone of my decision until I knew it was for me. I had no idea that I would like vaping so much, and I did not want to start telling people "I quit smoking," and have them see me puffing tar a few days later.

I added up all of my reciepts from my ecig supplies for the first year (yep, I saved them in a shoe box:) ) and subtracted the total from what I would have paid for my Benson & Hedges over the course of a year. I saved over $2,500.00! I'm buyin' more than the occasional battery too. I have bought 901 kits, a DSE 905, a Chuck, a couple 510 kits, a 5V GLV, a Wetbox, 4 Riva kits, a Buzz, bunches off batteries and several chargers, hundreds of cartos and tons of juice mixing supplies. I don't know how you can avoid saving money. I could buy a GGTS every month for what I spent on smokes.

I was buying 3.5 packs of analogs per week at $6+ per pack so about $21. The first month of vaping I spent about $200. The second month about $120. This is my 3rd month and I'm down to about $20 a week. That being said, I am ordering WAY more than I need. I am happily trying out new tasty juices and finding my favorite types of cartos and batteries. At this point, if I were to buy only what i vape it would be about $10 per week. Thats counting 1/2 bottle of 30ml juice and 2 cartos (drip refilled as needed). I also only buy when there is a sale now!
As I am sure has been mentioned though...its not about saving money, its about saving your LIFE.

So far, I've broken about even. A carton of cigs a week at 60 a week. I was one of them who had no INTENTION of quitting analogs. Vapeing was about smoking when I couldn't. I had a half or more carton of cig's in the fridge. One of my daughters friends snagged the last of it, and I don't even know WHEN he snagged it /sigh

The bonus is my apartment doesn't smell to badly (I quit analog'ging about a month and a half after I moved in), and when I make it home for more than 3 days, I'll give it a top to bottom cleaning.

My car now /shudder.

Anyhow, at 240 a month to smoke, well, I THINK I've probably come CLOSE to spending that, but then again maybe not :0). I've scared myself singing in the car (I have a pretty powerful singing voice, but havn't heard that singing voice in about 10 years, surprised the hell out of me when it came out!!! Grace Slick for the WIN)

I think maybe I need a Mod /grin!!! I've been seriously considering a bottom feeder! Looks around and wanders off to the Mod sellers.
