Today I left my Nemesis mod & Kraken rba at home.
I realized once I got to work that I only had my batterys, flavors and Helios rda on me and the panic began to sink in;
Do I ask to leave work to go get it? (not favorable)
Do I buy one of those crappy BLU cigs? (hate them)
Do I buy real cigs? (quit 2 weeks ago)

I THINK NOT!
Using a plastic bottle, toggle switch, spring, screw, wire, & solder I came up with this! (spring was necessary to create a safety due to the switch I had available)
I call it the ICE mod! (In Case of Emergency):p

Fits my Samsung INR18650-20R's and a flavor or two inside! (for storage)

Battery is hard wired, I could have used magnets, or just electrical taped the wire to the battery but I'm confident with my de-soldering skills that I can return the battery to normal after today, plus I wanted the dependability of a soldered connection.
Also the center post of the Helios is a soldered connection (I wont have any problem un-soldering this either). I made the negative connection with a wire that has a stripped end between the lid and the helios. I screw the Helios into a hole on the jar's lid and inturn clamped the wire between the Helios and lid.
Vapes as good as my mechanical, possibly better since it has solid strand copper wiring and soldered connections.

Opinions?

I would love to see the inside of that!

Sure! Its a good excuse to take it all apart so I can paint the jar.
I removed my electrical tape from the battery for a better view (I used it on both ends to prevent a short)

If anyone ever needs to build a ICE mod (hopefully you have more time than I did) I would recommended using a proper battery holder so soldering to the battery isn't necessary.

And people are saying the .gov can stop us by restricting hardware???? No way! The genie is out of the bottle (or in the bottle or somethin')!!!!

Multiple kudos, sir!!!! :toast:

ETA: Kinda looks like a cold solder joint on the center pin of the atty. If you can, you may want to hit it with some flux and re-flow it.

Thanks for all the support guys, I think I'm going to order some battery holders and a proper switch, and turn this into a permanent mod for my RDA Helios.

The great thing is all you need is a battery, RDA or RBA, switch & some wire and you cant turn anything into a mod using this method!
I was thinking about doing a computer mouse haha.

Funny that this was a better solution than going home to get your mod. You've got way too much free time at work and way too many materials. I'd expect the average office worker would come up with a paperclip- rubber band ball mod to get through the day. Kudos!

In before vapero calls this guy richy rich of improvisational mods..

Small update: I added a battery holder so the battery isn't soldered in anymore and I added an atomizer base so the atomizer is also readily removable.

I think it looked better with the clear plastic but that's just my opinion and i would upgrade to some thicker wire but you did a great job.
