Wait! What? Although I respect your decision, I don't agree that there is a huge problem. After all, This is the NuThouse right? The off camber interjections and colorful banter are what makes this place more like a family. I do not recall anyone getting short changed on the answers that they seek. In fact, I find that this place is unique to the rest of the forum in that we are all thick as thieves and are quick to jump in and help out others with out getting into blowout debates about what is right or wrong as well as welcoming new folks to the family with open arms. Yeah, sometimes you may have to wade through a little off topic material but, in the end, I think we always get to the point while having a whole lot of chuckles along the way. This place has personality and soul not to mention an outpouring of love for all things Nicoticket and in my humble opinion, Its just perfect the way it is.

Off topic to Nicoticket? If it weren't for Nicoticket, none of us would be here.

Stand proud in the fact that this joint you have created is one of the best if not the best place on ECF! :D

Not trying to be a thorn here, but what I have always loved most about the NT forum is that everyone has been friendly and helpful with my vape journey which often times was hardware related but applicable with my juice so to speak. I can look back at threads for a LONG time ago about how my kayfun at the time wasn't tasting right with beetlejuice etc and got the BEST advice ever. And typically when I would post something here it was a last resort because no one would help me in the any other forum where I posted it. I get what you are saying - I'm just saying that the ONLY reason I have even considered as of lately donating to ECF is BECAUSE of NT. And I did all the call of action stuff because of NT. The "rebuildable" forum....it was almost like you had to have a secret code. I would post questions there and somehow 250 people viewed it but only 1 person, who never even owned the hardware I was asking about would comment. I don't know what I'm saying other than I probably wouldn't even be on ECF if it wasn't for the NT forum.

With that said I will follow the rules because I'm definitely not a rule breaker. But, I think part of the comradery and "family" has been to help people with their vape journey as well as suggesting juices to buy. Just my 2 cents.

If I had my way, we would be a one-stop-information-shop capable of helping people with a wide variety of issues... believe me, preaching to the choir on this one. It's easily achieved - just tie the inquiry into Nicoticket somehow (IE, I just got a brand Mephisto RDA and am about to load up some Gravity, build advice?")

I don't make the above suggestion to somehow slight the system ECF has in place - but they are very much "compartment people" - everything has its place. Mind you, none of this movement is coming at the insistence of the good folks at ECF, it's just us trying to keep our portion of the forum focused. I love that we can brainstorm here - one of the endearing things about the NT forum specifically is that you generally get good advice (no matter how biased it is *ahem* REOs), and responses are generally prompt. I don't think any of that will change.

One thing we *can* implement if there is sufficient interest is a thread that is eclusively original posts by Nicoticket fam members that reside in the appropriate forum (IE, rebuildable forum, etc) but - that post can serve as a bit of a notification of "Hey, this post is out here and I could use your contributions" type thing. Then, best of both worlds... help from the fam, located in the appropriate forum, and - help from people who may or may not be engaged with Nicoticket. Some part of it is that ECF wants us to "share our knowledge with the entirety of the forum" and not become a "nest unto ourselves."

Nah - there is no "huge problem." There's no problem at all, honestly. It is what it is - we've been doing this all along... it's just been more visible the last few days because Nick and Beau are learning the ropes, etc... the OP is as much for them as it is for all of us. ;)

I really don't understand the backlash against Clark for this. I think you guys are taking it too seriously. I doubt the reform he's talking about will make a difference in 90+% of threads here :)

No backlash - just a statement. The forum is the forum - I like it just as it is... just don't be surprised if we stumble on a thread that's in no way connected to Nicoticket (like the battery thread I started, for example) - and it gets deleted or moved. I'm in a bit of a different situation than some - I quite literally can't post anywhere else but the NT forum... so I may periodically field threads with questions and break my own rules. LMAO

I think folks are expressing a bit of worry that the cozy feeling of home is going to be tossed out with the dish water.

We all have a common binding that is Nicoticket, you can't exactly go far without seeing a Nicoticket banner flying under our comments outside of this area of the forum. I can't help but notice how measured the comments are here, it's a part of the loyalty to friends and family, your just bound to be a bit nicer, more polite, more giving.

Why that is, could be up for debate, but I think it simply revolves around a bunch of great people who started this thing called Nicoticket. There is a friendly feel that adds its own flavor to the Nicoticket experience, an atmosphere of good will, and trust that flows in all directions.

Change, especially sudden change, is hard to accept. It's the step parent effect, can't change it, can't make it go away, and expectations seem to change over night. That scares you just a little, and makes you long for the way it was, the good ole days if you will.

We all know Nicoticket is growing, the family is growing, and that is to be expected.

I guess what I'm trying to say is...we are a bunch of needy clingy attention hungry NT kids that don't want to feel alone, and we are just a little scared right now.

Well as someone who has been through thread revolt stances once, then again, and again, then we got our sub-forum and this is the third or more time this has come up I can honestly say we tow the line best as we can and we are all still wonderful here.........there IS a reason for the party in the back....;)
