I think folks are expressing a bit of worry that the cozy feeling of home is going to be tossed out with the dish water.

We all have a common binding that is Nicoticket, you can't exactly go far without seeing a Nicoticket banner flying under our comments outside of this area of the forum. I can't help but notice how measured the comments are here, it's a part of the loyalty to friends and family, your just bound to be a bit nicer, more polite, more giving.

Why that is, could be up for debate, but I think it simply revolves around a bunch of great people who started this thing called Nicoticket. There is a friendly feel that adds its own flavor to the Nicoticket experience, an atmosphere of good will, and trust that flows in all directions.

Change, especially sudden change, is hard to accept. It's the step parent effect, can't change it, can't make it go away, and expectations seem to change over night. That scares you just a little, and makes you long for the way it was, the good ole days if you will.

We all know Nicoticket is growing, the family is growing, and that is to be expected.

I guess what I'm trying to say is...we are a bunch of needy clingy attention hungry NT kids that don't want to feel alone, and we are just a little scared right now.

Let me calm your inner children by assuring you that we're just doing the same thing we've always been doing - moderating so Classwife doesn't spank us (too hard, I kinda enjoy her love pats) <3 Classwife

I don't get it, maybe I need more coffee... The forum does not want topics posted that are not related to Nicoticket? What's the big deal?
Sounds almost like a Green-eyed monster has been through here....

That's the gist of it. No drama, just the way it is. Business in the Front = ECF Party in the Back = AHEM

Eh...anytime someone IS THE BEST, others will try pulling the rug out from under your feet. It's ok...we will still stand united.
You can't touch this...:rickroll::rickroll::rickroll:

No one is pulling anything - we're just doin' what we are supposed to be doin' <3

Eh, this isn’t hard . . . I see lots of threads get moved from here to there, and usually there is the appropriate sub forum. Thing is, on ECF, there’s probably others (non-family *gasp*) who’d be interested in some of the hardware discussions, there’s some great tips and answers in here, no need to keep them to ourselves. But, the threads that get moved do tend to do so after a day or two, and it usually only takes that long for someone in here to get their answer. So, if it were me (and it isn’t), I’d let whatever the question/topic is linger here for a day and let the family answer to it, then move it to the topical forum with a re-direct link left in NT land showing where it went.

Yeah... but... it does get a little weird. Don't forget that Suppliers can't go wandering all over the place, posting in the general forums. So in as much as moving Mr. Brook's battery questions thread would seem like a good idea - can't do that. In as much as just leaving it up right here for very good information purposes seems like a good idea - I can see where "spanking" time was in order too, if someone got a subtle hint that general forum type questions aren't the purpose of supplier forums. If allowed that could leave any Supplier forum open to turning into a mini subset of ECF - things could get really messy.

That yellow brick road here we travel on isn't exactly a straight path with unobstructed views all the time. If you veer off into a field of poppies you might lose track of where you were going. (Putting my bad analogy handbook away now...)

As I read through this I am experiencing Deja Vu all over again! We (the old timers) went through this early in the year. In fact, we were so worried that the Family would be disbanded that we set up another home on another forum. It really took off and now we have two homes!!! I believe all will be well and all will be well for everyone here. We have our Playground with the Party in the Back and then we have the threads here on ECF.

Such a wealth of places to visit and share and learn. We have one with very few rules, very little moderation and then we have the home here where things are more strictly moderated. Each situation has its place!
