Maybe a server caching issue, but I keep getting Alerts for new posts that I've already read (and yes, I know if it says "2 alerts" it may show more but the first two should be NEW alerts, right?), and also when I click the tiny "view unread posts" dot by a forum, it takes me to posts I've already read. I hope this is a temporary glitch because it's making it difficult for me to keep up with what's been read and what hasn't.

It would help if I had some examples to look at.

The Preview looked like this:
ECF-1.jpg~original

But the Post came out like this:
Contests | Page 217 | E-Cigarette Forum
(EDIT: I notice that the above link came out fine...)

Although this might not be a good example, because it didn't like the fact that there were 3 #'s, not 2... so I deleted the last one (-cured) from the URL. But the same is true for a lot of the previous posts/links...

First, thanks for all the good work. Having been through this with vB, I appreciate the effort. Now to the question—Is there a XenForo USER Manual? I've looked all over the XF sites, and find all kind of great info for prospects, licencees, devs, but nothing for us users.
Thanks again

What happened to the shortcut to view my last post in a thread?

I've noticed if looking at forum's list of threads, you'll see Replies (column). Also helps to know that if you've (yes, you've is a word) posted on a thread, your avatar will show up overlaying the original poster's avatar in the forum view. Would make sense to click that and go to 'my last post in the thread,' but alas that is not the case. So, if you click on replies number, a list comes up with your name somewhere on it, and then a number (of how many posts you have in that thread).

When I click on that number it currently shows "no results found" on a new window (or tab) that shows up. And code for that is currently showing (before I click on number) as, thread_id=(some large number)&o=date. Regardless of which poster on the list I select, all show 'o=date.' I imagine correction would be found in that bit of code.

We're currently rebuilding a LOT of stuff, so some features aren't going to work properly until that's finished. It's going to take a day or so for everything to finally settle in.

Unfortunately that doesn't give you anything different than the pop up list does - just a lot more of it.

This really kills most of the purposefulness of the Likes function. When you could quickly identify what post was being liked you could determine whether you, say, needed to visit a particular thread for a follow up. If someone likes something you posted in New Members - two years ago...? Now that Likes show no post context at all - other than the sub forum the post was in - they don't give anyone particularly useful information - either for the original poster being liked or someone visiting a user profile.

If the answer is to click on all your liked posts and open all the threads - nope. This is a major downgrade.

Got it - it's not exactly intuitive. One the old system Notifications brought you right to the obvious. One the new system Alerts means "See what alerts you have, if they are Likes then move over to your user name, hover over, get a pop up menu, select 'Likes You've* Received', open that page."

*And don't even get me started on that ridiculous contraction...

Just because AOL made it up... still not a word. :nah:

Are you complaining just for the sake of complaining?

Is that why Tapatalk is not working right now, or did I miss mention of that elsewhere?

The rebuilds have nothing to do with Tapatalk.
Oh OK, I was just wondering. Do you guys know why Tapatalk stopped working for everyone this morning after the flawless transition yesterday (kudos for all the hard work done, the site is wonderful and so much better for those who use the web version)

@retired1 I found something different about the conversations that I can't leave.

There are 6 of them. If I click on any one of them and open it then at the top there is a status,
Conversation Status:
All participants have left this conversation permanently

This is what it says for each one I can't leave/delete.

Also it only shows as one participant, me, even though there was another person.
For what it's worth, the one conversation that I can not delete says the same thing...
All participants have left this conversation permanently

Maybe that's why we can't leave... because it thinks we've already left?

Yes, thank you. It is not a user manual. I'm talking about something much more comprehensive, and detailed, such as what XF provides for admins. Even the old vBulletin software eventually got around to having somehing like that, but I guess the folks who built that, and XenForo later, don't believe users want to know how everything works.
