But I can't figure out how to get it back and use it now.

The editor bar is always available in Rich Text mode. Are you sure you aren't in the BB Code editor (which is a basic text editor with no frills)?

The editor bar is always available in Rich Text mode. Are you sure you aren't in the BB Code editor (which is a basic text editor with no frills)?

Simply put - YES . . .

If "My" memory serves "Me" right now (AND BTW: I'm An OLD MAN & Curmudgeon so it could be possible that I am mistaken) - the "Options Bar" was available in the old interface while in the BB Code editing mode . . . NOW - I don't know if "We" can possibly have it again, but it would make it a little easier, especially to have the icons for switching back and forth from one mode to the other like before and to "Save" more often . . . Just Sayin' . . .

it would help indeed while i remember quite a bit of code by now colors are beyond me and switching back to 'rich text' when there are a few pics in the post makes for lots of scrolling

This theme is so bad it gives me a headache. It needs theme options or i will need to find a new vaping related forum.

I'm just having to make myself quit after 20-30 minutes. So I won't be around much before something gets added. I've played with brightness and contrast on my PC with very little improvements. I can read it a little better on my Kindle tablet where I have a brightness manager defaulted to "night reading" but ECF still comes across as much harder to read than any other web site or forum.

I'm not sure quite why it is worse, but seems to be related to the large amount of very whit space and the small font on the quotes, post information, etc.

On an unrelated note, thus the new post, is anyone having issues with their shortcuts to ECF? I use IE (I know, I know, but I have to have touchscreen support that Firefox doesn't have and I've been trying to avoid having three browsers on one machine by not adding Chrome yet) and I get an
error 404

So I do that, and then create a new shortcut from there, try to use the new one and get another

Rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat. I've done a cold reboot after adding the new shortcut, and still get the problem. I've deleted the old shortcut(s), rebooted and added a new one directly, still get the problem.

Until some other way can be figured out and/or implemented . . .

Just AN FYI - To Help out and for future reference:

[color= . . . COLOR NAME OR CODE NUMBER . . . ] . . . TEXT HERE . . . [/color]
(Remove all periods & spaces )

Which can be just the basic words: Blue, Red, Green, Purple, etc.

AND - Here is a couple of links on the Internet I found to some Color BB Codes too:

BTW: Now - Depending on what "Color" (Word or actual code) Ya' chose to use will actually depend on which "Colors" will work or are allowed now on ECF too . . . Hope this helps . . .

one thing for sure though - if ecf had started out on xenforo i would never have learned the bit of code i know now
