There was a post I edited one day last week, and it was weird, because it wouldn't let me save the edit *until* I entered a reason; the reason showed up on the right side at the bottom, just above the Like Quote Reply top bit...

Haven't seen that behavior since then, though.

I think I've discovered the pattern. The edit reason shows up if you edit a post that was NOT the last post in the thread. see my "bump" post, Forum issues | Page 42 | E-Cigarette Forum

At least that's what I just found in this thread tonight. Going to bed & will look for confirmation/denial of that pattern tomorrow.

ETA: Not quite as fun, but totally acceptable IMO.

@Bimini Twist I think you might be onto something, with your last edit. I thought it might have had something to do with time so I visited other threads, posted elsewhere then came back and did my edit. It never showed.

I see that your edit did. I bet it does have something to do with being the last post.

Good detective work! :)

@Kent C it will still show in the watched forums list anytime there are unread posts. The option you selected was for notifications, so you will only receive a notification when there's a new thread (Alert or email or both, depending on your alert preference settings)

Just An FYI: It seems all images and pictures, including smilies/emoticons from outside ECF - are removed from post . . .

Every time I modify my signature, my banner is no longer there. I'll add the banner, it shows up in my posts and then I'll go in and edit my signature and the banner code is not even listed in the box. Once I edit (money spent) and hit save, it's of course gone from my posts too. I have to go to the banner site, fill out the info again and re-add it to my sig. This has happened every time (5 total) that I've edited my signature in the last 6 days.

edit: As of this post, no banner.

Probably because it's bigger than what's allowed. :) Max image size in signatures is 400x65, and that one is 480x60. So... 80 pixels too long. :glare:

I stay logged in all the time and don't log out when I shut down my pc but lately when I try to get on ECF I have to login again and I have "keep me logged in" (or whatever that says) checked. The login screen shows my username and dots for my password but it's not my latest password so I have to retype it. Why am I having to login everyday?

If your browser is clearing your cookies after you shut it down, you'll have to sign in each time you come back to the site. If the browser isn't set to clear cookies, it's possible that you're experiencing some minor corruption in one of the cookies and clearing them may fix the issue.

I have "clear cookies" unchecked and all my other login info for other sites are working as should. You're other suggestion might work but clear my cookies?

I cleared my cache and history and then restarted my PC because I was positive somebody would suggested this. ;) When it came back up I started ECF and I was still logged in. The true test will be tomorrow when I try to get on ECF.

Clearing cache and history IS NOT clearing the cookies that the forum sets.
