Basically, I'm impressed with how well everything has gone so far, and I think a lot of my current issues are just getting used to the new ways of doing things (hey, way less confusing than going from DOS to Windows) but, for some of us old enough to remember DOS, the small font on bright white is a major problem. I'm kind of limited to about a half hour at a time with this schema, and that isn't nearly enough for my daily ECF fix. (Though admittedly, I am getting more real life stuff done this way.)

So does it help at all on setting the priorities to know that for some of us it is not just an aesthetic issue, it's an accessibility issue?

I know you guys don't have anything else to worry about this week, right? She says as she ducks and runs for cover - dang that coffee is hot when it gets thrown at you.

Hover your mouse over the thread title, and you'll get a little pop-up that previews the thread way better than vB did.

Works for me... Google Chrome, Windows 7. I just hover and can read the first post. Odd.

However, I can't find the way to the last post in a given thread--when I click on the last page, it takes me to the top of the page, not to the last post, where I want to be.

Yeah, I get that also, but not on all the thread titles. Some I just get nothing. I thought maybe I maybe was actually over the date, but no I wasn't.

I tried that with Chrome....worked (like it a lot!)
But with my normal FF, it doesn't work. Nothing happens. Maybe ad blocker or popup blocker or something else, IDK. I have a lot more "stuff" in FF than I do with Chrome too.

Works for me - it's a popup bubble kind of thing - maybe you have it blocked?
I'm using XP (yes, XP, hahahahah) and Chrome.

Lost, hover your mouse over your User Name (top bar to the right), go to Personal Details and scroll down to Account Upgrades. I believe you have a PayPal account because you're a verified member.

A few issues...it just took me several times of leaving this thread, pop to another-back and forth multiple times to get the text box to pop up to write in here??? I'm using iPad Air if that makes a difference to tell me why.

A group of us had a closed/private-invite only chat thread which has now become open to all. Are there no more private threads?

Also...what's up with my funky looking banner? The cig count one is fine but my custome made one is a red X?

Lastly, the threads I usually go to, subscribe to an so forth, if I click on watched threads, why do I have to click.."there are more or show all" or whatever it says. Can't I set it to just show all always?

ETA- for those of us not using a mouse, do these hover functions work?

Is this a social group/forum? If so, then it's probably because there are several permissions still sorting through indexing and so forth. Hopefully it works soon! Let me know where it is (or PM it to me if you need to), and I'll bring it to admin attention, just in case.

The one with the red 'x' is missing. Could be slow to transition from vB perhaps. Have you tried inserting it again?

I don't believe so, from my experience. But if the iPad has a hover function/add-on or something like that, then I would think it would.

Sorry you're having a problem with this. All I can think of, since you got it to work on IE (shudder) is that you have some sort of add-on on Chrome that is blocking it. It could be something in an ad-blocker going nuts or something in Ghostery, or similar perhaps.

That will take time for all of us to get used to. Now we have to click on the name or avi to see the Member Card pop up to see that info. You can click links on it to see more info, or click the X, or outside that box, to close it, and you're on the same page at least.

Thanks for the quick answers. Someone on here made the banner for me and I don't have it saved anywhere because I'm an idiot like that.

I will let the Memeber know who created the private group to PM you. I think she is trying to get it private again. Also, anything in the works to get our ECF join date back on our AVi's by chance?

There's really nothing distinguishable from brand new people to vets besides "guru,vaping master, ultra Memeber.." Or all these other designations that have zero meaning especially when people change them.
