Forum Searches Not Working Properly

Post migration. The Search function is not working correctly.

Example 1: Search for 'kayfun', select Newer Than date = 2021-01-01
Result: Four entries found. 3 are from yesterday. 1 from 3 Jan 2022. Should be a lot more.

Result without Newer Than date = Only 12 entries are found. 8 are from 2009-10.


Example 2: Search for 'raspberry', select Newer Than date = 2021-01-01
Result message = No results found.

Example 3: Search for 'raspberry', DO NOT select a Newer Than date
Result = 29 pages found. Dates go back a long way.



Search function works fine if I search for something posted to the forum post migration.

Looks like ECF is having general problems due to software changes. Glad you posted though. "Contact" lower rt. corner may help too.

I just searched with your info...seems to be working now.

It's still not right compared to before the migration.

Try searching for kayfun Lite, select Newer Than 2014-06-01 and Order By Most Recent. The returned result is 30 pages. If you randomly look through some of the pages of the returned results you will see that all are from 2020 through 2022. Including everything on page 30. That's not right. There should be many results going way back (to 2014).

Now do the same search, Newer Than 2014-06-01, but this time with Order By Relevance, and the returned results only show 16 pages (should be at least 30 pages). However, the dates now go back to 2014.

I've tried that search a few times to make sure I got the same results each time. I do. Same with the search below.


Search for Kayfun Prime, select Newer Than 2017-01-01 and Order By Most Recent. The returned result is 30 pages. If you randomly look through some of the pages of the returned results you will see that all are from 2019 through 2022. It should be showing results going back to 2017.

Do the same search, Newer Than 2017-01-01, but this time with Order By Relevance, and the returned results show 28 pages. However, the dates now go back to 2017.
