We could list all of the suppliers and rate them for taste, quality, reliability, price and so on. A sort of "at a glance" chart would be ideal. I know that some of the Dutch forums do this. Also, as I am sure many suppliers read this forum, we could have a place for suggestions for improvements and what we would to see featured in new products.

The fastest way to lose users of electronic smoking devices in this forum is to allow sellers to post in all sections. I most emphatically do NOT want to know that someone has stuff for sale on eBay. If you even allow such commercial pitches -- and why should you since you have competing real advertisers? -- then restrict them to one folder on the forum, and one only. Comment and comparison here, good; promotion for selfish interests, very bad.

OK, let's start writing the rules.

1. Sellers must identify themselves to the board mods on registration. They will then be given the rank "E-cig supplier"
2. Sellers must not post any self promotion in any of the forums except in the suppliers forum.
3. No offensive language or abusive or threatening behavior (even when your e-cig battery has discharged!)

..........more to follow, please make suggestions!

Off-topic from what yall are discussing, but I think FAQs and some stickies always liven up a forum. As more and more users begin looking at e-cigs, there will be more questions than anyone can answer. Compacting information into easy to find posts in general and tips & tricks will answer most of the questions new users have about improving performance with their machines.

Yah! Five posts; I rule ;)

Hi Moderator,

Just one technical suggestion to improve the readability of your forum: How about increasing the cotrast between the background and text color? soft blue on black is not very readable, especially on laptops. You might want to increase the cotrast by e.g., making the text a lighter shade of blue..

Great forum by the way.

Regards from Dubai.

Richard is currently working on the font text as suggested.

I have started the FAQ thread which will become a sticky as soon as it warrants it!

I'm not totally sold on the buying/selling forum, don't you think it might change the nature of our "community"? Any thoughts?

Thanks for your suggestions people, keep em coming! I'm only sorry I can't implement everything sooner - too much going on in my life at the mo.

buying/selling could be nice.. you could even separate it out some. Here is what i think would be fine.. You could have a vendor for sale section. You could also have classifieds.. Granted it would take us policing our own, but i think it could be a nice service.

As far as font and stuff, cant you get other themes for phpbb3? i know on BB2 there were tons of themes available and they were a cinch to install.

Thanks,
-Dusty-

Looking in daytime now Joe. And yesss, this blue text here is now readable for me in daylight too! It was a bit of a guessing-voyage to get to here seeing the indexpages haven't changed yet ;) ; but I think if the headers change as you say they will, then those indexes will change at the same time? So then it will be completely readable also for me, just great. Big thanks again, more so because with what Geppa suggested (good to know it exists for other places though!) only the outer-rim of the pages here seemed changeable; so I didn't manage to make that useful for this specific forum.

Thanks for all the help, to all those giving suggestions (and now this really solving it too). You sure are all being so helpful... wonderful! :D
