They are the metal buttons, I was in there yesterday and handled one. Looked and felt quite a bit better than my chrome one. I didn't buy it because I already have more mods than I can use. It is calling my name though, one will probably be joining my herd before long.

Thanks I really need something that can measure ohms and is variable. I Also really like the ability to change battery sizes. It also (for you provari evangelists) doesn't have to be bullet proof since I've got a silver bullet for when the zombies come. Smash zombies heads in and then enjoy a nice vape. Thanks for the quick response I'm ordering one now!

I like the black chrome.... but here are my issues (luckily my finish hasnt rubbed off)

1. fingerprint magnet. cant stand it....
2. slippery.... but i expected it
3. not many mods match it. i havnt found any mods i use that match black chrome. aga-t and vivi nova are what i use now.
I did see a dct carto 6ml tank that was gun metal...but I dont use carto tanks.

Got mine today. I have the same problem as you filletminion. The bottom cap screw wont screw on trying to set up with a single 18350. It does have the metal buttons and it does remember the watts setting when the battery is removed. Also no rattle using an efest 18650. Has the bigger spring already installed. If you find a fix...please post. I submitted a ticket with vapor bank to see what they say.

filletminion,
Taking a closer look at the threads, it appears the threats on mine were "flattened" when the bottom tube was installed. The threads on the bottom of the bottom tube are sharp, while the threads on the unit are more round. Tried to take a pic but cant get a good enough close up. I think the pitch of the threads are the same. The biggest die I have is a 19mm and it looks to be 20mm. I think if you could find the correct die you could clean up the threads and it would be alright. Not sure though as the thread lenght is not very long. Dont know if you could get the die on far enough to do any good. You could try running the die on it backwards...but you better have it straight or it would just peal the threads off. Looks like they might have to go back. That kind of sucks.

Yeah the thing is I shouldn't have to get a die to fix something I bought. I'm not upset these things happen. I'm sure that they will take care of it even if it means shipping back the unit for a new one. I would think that sending out replacement caps would be less of a hassle but I will see what they say.

Just got home. Had a reply from Vapor Bank. They are definitely standing behind the product and are working to rectify the problem. This is my first dealings with this vendor...but it wont be the last. This issue has nothing to do with them as it is a manufacturing issue and will probably show up with many other vendors as well. These things happen. "Quality control" and "Made in China" usually dont go together too often. I dont think a different end cap will solve the problem. The threads on the main body are the ones that look to have some damage. It looks like they were damaged when the bottom tube was installed to the unit. I think a die might clean them up, But the threads are not a standard size. Looks like 20mm X 1.0. Probably would have to take it to a machine shop to have it repaired. But as I said before, no worries as Vapor Bank is going to take care of it.
