Very interesting-looking mod, but I'd have the same concerns already mentioned.

As for your Wetbox, mine used to flake out, and the problem was the switches would get gunked up from leaking juice. I'd give it a bath in isopropyl alcohol and work the switches around, then blow out with compressed air, and it would work fine for a while again. Might be worth a shot to get you going. My Wetbox has been in the bottom of my stash box ever since I got my first REO.

I would like to get some feedback before I spend any more money.

Since the phone number on their site would resolve to a local call from your stated location, why not just call them up and ask to have a look at it? Oh wait - their faq says that even though they've given a phone number, they won't answer the phone because they are too busy. I hate to imply things... so I'll leave the rest of what I'd like to say to the imagination.

Advertising a pretty pic is one thing but till someone has tried it then its a unknown......never good till proven.

I've tried it and I kept one in my glove box for a long time. It worked fine most of the time but the igniter wasn't reliable all the time. If I recall, I got it for about four and a half bucks. The "photo" is a Jet-Q Turbo7 refillable butane lighter (with something that looks like a drip tip in place of the butane jet) sold at lots of convenience stores and tobacco shops.

As someone suggested, I did call Vapage about this Mod since I’m interested. I got through to a real person on the second call. Here’s what I was told:

The company is new, started by three guys that like vaping, and one of them is a design person by trade. They made the prototype in a machine shop in Southern California. We talked for a little bit, he seemed pretty cool and told me the whole deal. The VMOD, as they call it, will be for sale the first part of May for about $65.00. He said a whole kit will be out by the end of May and will include extra bottle and cartomizer. Oh, he did say it has a full lifetime warranty, but I guess I’ll see. I think I may try it out since they are in Socal, and the price sounds good.

Did anyone else hear more about this thing?

For me, I'd choose a vendor with a proven track record. Saving a few bucks mean nothing if it dumps on you after using it. I'm wondering why you are on your second wetbox and still having problems? Any vendor support/warranty help?

I've spent anywhere from $40-$125 on a PV and 6 months later all are still working like new and at no time have they ever -ever failed me. All were purchased from reputable vendors with outstanding customer reviews. If I can't find evidence of this, I sure am not interested.:2c:

I receiving my vmod yesterday and I am pleased to say that I am happy with it. It was very easy to get set up and to start vaping.

Will any 510 atty fit in it? Very interested in this one. Been looking for a cheaper reliable bottom feeder and more are hitting the market quickly. Was also considering the Boge Revolution V2. Any more details or a review would be super helpful. Nice pics though. Very helpful...

I read the specs recently and remember a blurb about how any 510 atty/carto will fit, BUT (and this a huge but) because of the design the feeder system will work ONLY with the proprietary cartos.

Here is the manual for this VMOD Manual

The filling procedure sounds fussy to me. Turn upside down, squeeze bottle until you feel some resistance, turn right side up, squeeze bottle to push juice up into carto, if overfilled then take it apart to clean it and try again. Ugh.

I am also a little wary of the atty cone. It is the only thing that keeps the whole shebang held together. Might work well, might not.

In the Q & A section I found this:

Q: Is V-Mod fully 510 compatible — can users interchange their own 510 system (Cartomizer or Atomizer/Cartridge) instead of our proprietary cone/silo design?
A: The VMOD has a 510 thread which means that any 510 will fit it. Although, only our Silo is compatible for use with the feed system. The VMOD can be used as a battery only, and as a drip base system with the others. We do encourage modders to be creative to mod their favorite cart/carto to work with the VMOD. Although, we feel our cartomizer is as good or better than anything on the market.
The reason we have a special cartomizer is our unique "tubeless" feed system. This eliminates a few problems with tube models, namely the mess. The design also incorporates a "juice chamber" that holds the juice right at the cartomizers feed ports to give longer times between pumping. It is also sealed so there is no leaking to the +/- contacts, and to the outside world.
Our cartomizer comes stock with a 2.0 ohms coil, a 1.7 ohms coil for the hardcore vapor will be available soon. These are considered "LR" or low resistance.
Another feature that no one offers that the Silo has is an interchangeable venturi valve. You can change the bottom port to draw hard or soft, to suite the users desire. We will offer 2 venturies (coming soon)

Good luck trying to find the price for replacement Silo cartos.

The "Become an Affiliate" part is very easy to find however.

In fairness I do like some of the design of it (aluminum outer shell, all-mechanical design, 14500 batt with a 10ml bottle, manual on/off switch, fair price). My Chingy-sense is flashing red to me though so I believe I shall pass on this one.

I found that I only had to turn the mod upside down when I first used it. The feeder is a great size, which I do not have to constantly fill up. I also like that it has a drip tip.

I like that the cone is there to keep the unit in tact in case I drop it. Too many times I have dropped other mods and they fall apart.

The size of the Vmod is perfect for me. I can put it in my pocket or in my purse and do not have to worry about it taking up too much space.

I love how people feel threatened by new technology.
Don't worry, I don't think your favorite mod maker is going to go out of business...

I have one coming...should be here by the end of the week.
I'll let you know what I think.

BTW: Perhaps the new carto design is better than the current standard...anyone think of that?
Maybe it's a great mod, but half the price of bottom feeders currently on the market...
I'm all in favor of a rock solid bottom feed device being sold at a reasonable price point.
