Found the cause of my sore gums

I've been vaping for about three months now happily. I have a minagery of different setups, dripper, drip tanks, clearomizers and batteries. When I first started vaping I had really sore gums. I couldn't figure out why. Now I know, and if anyone else has this issue maybe this can be a little psa for you. At first people told me it's the nic, so I stepped down and was loving my 12 mg bombies seven seas in a Nautilus mini. I kind of tried ignoring the sore gums but man, it's annoying and painful. That's when I bought a dripper. I figured I'd be using 3mg nic so maybe my gums wouldn't hurt so badly. So I started Dripping epicus nebula the general. An amazing vanilla custard that I just keep buying, almost weekly, it's just that good to me. So with the dripper I haven't really used the clearomizer with the seven seas (7 different fruit flavors). Then for about a month my mouth was cured. Everything is perfect. So I immediately thought, oh! It's the pg! (epicus nebula is 100% vg if I remember correctly. That's what everyone at shops thought also. So I've stuck to very high vg liquids. Today I was feeling adventurous so I went to the shop to pick up some epiclouds juice. I love their doughnut pounder but wanted a fruit flavor because I've missed it. I picked up strawberry circus, which is like strawberry candy. About an hour after using it in my dripper bam, my gums were on fire again. It's the fruit flavors causing it now I know. Now this is just my experience with this, but personally I won't be buying any more fruit flavors. Something in the flavoring is irritating me. Went back to custards and creamy flavors and now I'm fine again. If any of you are having sore gums and you only vape fruity flavors. Try a cream! It might just be the cause!

to ecf. So glad that you are here. I wonder if it is just something that worked its way out after quitting? I don't see why a cream juice would make any difference but maybe others will agree and I will learn something so I can help others who have that particular problem. Either way, I'm glad it all worked out for you.

It's definitely something in the fruit flavoring that's irritating my gums. Because when I tried a fruit flavor after a month of just vanilla I tried a fruity strawberry flavor with the same amount of vg/pg and my gums flared up almost instantly :(

The fact that your gums are getting sore from certain juices implies that there is either a light allergic reaction to the flavor, OR that you just have overly sensitive gums which is a sign that they are not in great health. (This is no surprise or shame since most of us are coming off of smoking stinkies for years.) If you want a REAL cure to having sensitive gums i would suggest buying a sonicare toothbrush (prohealth or diamondclean) and an oral irrigator like a waterpik. Not only will your sore gums improve but the entire health of your mouth will skyrocket. I am in dental school and had still been using an old fashioned toothbrush up until one of my professors practically forced me to buy a sonicare a year ago, let me just tell you that they really do work. I had sensitive/receding gums despite my best efforts with a normal toothbrush and only a month after getting the sonicare both the receding and sensitivity stopped progressing. Now a year later my oral health is the best it has been in my entire life, the annoying sensitive gums that plagued me my whole life are entirely gone! Really is an amazing product, having used it the fact that people still use regular toothbrushes with this thing around is shocking. 1000% worth the $120 initial cost and $20 every 6 months for replacement heads, will be recommending them to all of my patients when i finally get my degree :D .
