I usually don't post on this forum, as time doesn't allow, but I feel the need to discuss when negative things happen in this community. Well, a simple search before I began to post this shows that this is an epidemic. With the recent closing of alien Visions because of the same issues, and my concern of their prices, I have opted to try a different avenue for getting my e liquid. On Friday afternoon I ordered Bananas gone nuts from MT Baker Vapor, and that same night, I have 5 fraudulent charges on the debit card. This specific time I needed to order juice, I used my wife's spare checking account that is only used for direct debit mortgage payments. This card NEVER is used for anything, anytime, anywhere. There has been some extra money in there so I decided to use that. I'm actually glad that I did this because I'm able to know exactly where the issue was. MT Baker Vapor.

So now I sit here, and ask myself, "I take all precautions necessary to make sure my computer is not infected with any malware, loggers, etc. Are these companies doing the same thing?" I'm just hoping that these big distributors are at least trying to do the same thing.

I'm hoping to still be able to order from Mt Baker Vapor but I need to be assured that they are doing everything possible to prevent this. (They haven't responded to my email yet.) I think we all need to be reassured. Most of us spend a lot of money with these companies.

Wow...that stinks! I too have order a lot from them..even have referred them to lots of people...I ALWAYS brag what great CS service they have...up until almost my last order with them. They sent me the wrong item...I sent them an email, days later, nothing from them...a PM on FB and over a week later, still heard nothing back...so on my review on the item they should have sent me, but didn't...said so in that review...been a couple weeks and still not heard a thing from them...that was it for me with them.

Please keep us posted when/IF they get back in touch with you!!

Sorry to see that! I order from there too but so far my account has been fine. Trust me...I've been checking since threads like this started popping up! I'm going to get a prepaid visa for the next time that I order but I really wish I could pay with PayPal. It's really starting to freak me out!

That's what I'm going to have to do. I'm going to have to look into the whole prepaid deal. My wife is super ...... that this happened. If mamma ain't happy, nobody is happy.

I know that's right! Are you going to be able to recover your money from the fraudulent transactions?

Any time she starts, say in a Fred Sanford voice..

"Woman what does that have to do with making me a sandwich?"

All kidding aside sorry it happened to you. It seems this epidemic is getting worse and worse.

Well that just sucks...
And is very scary...cause I placed a big- big order with them today for unflavored ejuice, bottles and a couple of flavorings !
I hate this CC fraud stuff with our vendors...
They seem to be targeting us vapers...who and why ???
And you would think the CC companies would be up in arms...
Not a peep...very strange.
Just got conformation it has shipped...now to go check my card.
(I order from my iPad...no key loggers or malware on here !)

I have a verified PayPal acct, which allowed me to apply for the PayPal Debit MasterCard. It is all free (at least it was when I applied). I can set daily limits --so if I am purchasing $50 I set my limit to $52 for that day. It takes it straight from my Paypal acct. if my Paypal acct is empty it will pull it from my verified bank acct three days later. Every transaction I make with the card sends me an email with exact amount and retailer information. So far I have had no issues, that being said I have never ordered from MT Baker Vapor.

Glad I held back on ordering from them.
Thanks for naming the actual vendor.
There's a lot of fraud posts on here.
Most won't name the offending vendor.

I think it is a bit unfair to name the vendor i mean i doubt it their fault. If they wanted to be crooks they would not send juice out andtake your money straight up. Mtbaker isoneof the best liquid vendors i have ever ordered from and will probably be the last because the prices and juices are so good, I say don't let one or two isolated incidents prevent you from getting a wonderful product from a wonderful vendor. You guys don't think people get fraud charges from places like eBay or Amazon by the 100s daily probably but you won't stop shopping there.

Interesting. I have a PayPal Debit MasterCard too which I occasionally use, but it seems the daily spending limits are fixed at $3000, way more than I'd ever spend at any ecig vendor! Where do you change these in PayPal, looked at all the settings & went thru their help system to no avail. Thanks!

When I go into my acct, under 'overview' tab, to the right there is a box labeled 'my account tools'.
In that box I click PayPal debit MasterCard.
Once it opens up, I click change backup payment settings.....
From there I can set limit from a scroll of predetermined amount or click other and set my own lower amount.

Hope this helps :)

No one is saying that mtbaker is the one doing the fraud...no one thinks that they are just taking your card number and using it to buy themselves random ..... they are saying that there might be a flaw in their payment system that is letting some hacker get card info and then using that, by hacker i mean some random person not affiliated with mtbaker.
