Dear Fellow Vapers, If you are getting dry hits try to cover one of the vent holes on the side of the c8 I have found that this makes the draw tighter and the juice seems to flow better, I have not got any dry hits since, just a suggetestion, THANX

Just tried it and it seams to work. But with mine, if done to often i can see it starting to fill the green straw with juice. So i would say its a good way to get the wick wet again, but not good for every draw. Thanks either way for the tip.

I've simply been trying different filling methods to see if I could find one that consistantly lead to a leaking issue... Usually all I'd get was a very slight leak that only lead to a wet ring and nothing more. All of the tests I did tonight after work were without any battery and I didn't vape at all. On all I had the C8 sealed at first, then removed the seal before trying another fill technique. I've actually lost count of the number of tests, but only one of these which were not on a battery, actually leaked out significantly... the others were only a slight seap barely wetting the glass it was sitting in.

Reading about the ideas that the leak outs may be related to the power pin... I've since added a 510 to eGo connector.. at this point ( just minutes into this test ), it has only slightly leaked again. I'll play with this a little longer, but I'm starting to run out of ideas of what to try without modding or otherwise damaging the unit from its default setup.

I dont know guys like I said I had the leaking problem at first but I just pushed the pin in slightly, maybe a fraction of a milimeter, and I have not had a leak yet, granted I had to lift the connector on the battery to get it to fire, but only a little bit. And no more leaks and it fires great.

well how was yours leaking, was it random or was it repeatable?

Does anyone else find it nearly impossible to tell if that bitty plug, on the bottom of the top seal, is actually sitting in the fill hole?
Does it matter?

I believe it does matter.... and I want to rant about seals and syringes... :D

While that was meant as a joke, Once I sealed the bottom of my Vision Stone v3... no leaks and syringes weren't required. The Vision clearomizers are also working great. They just aren't quite as slick looking... or built as tough.

Ok... enough of my .....in' and moanin'... back on topic... My last tests, with the 510 to eGo adapter... never even leaked a little bit. So I'm at a loss.

I use those adapters with quite a few different tanks, they work very very well,,,,I wished it would be made in a sealed version, it would be even better too :)

well if it cant be figured out we dont want people to have to worry about random juice outs, so we will decide on what to do with them soon. if they where perfectly sealed this wouldnt be a issue, the vaccum would hold it in.

Chris...

Please don't give up on it too quick... I was just a .....'n to hear myself ........ I agree that at some point IF a cause can't be determined and then be properly addressed by the manufacturer, that it may be time to cut your losses... but it is still early.

Some of us are not having issues, some are only intermittantly... and robl45... well, we all know you sent him nothing but lemons :D ( not seriously, though he does have the worst of it so far it seems ). Which may indicate that its something with the PV configuration that is, at least in part, part of the cause.

Perhaps, just as a suggestion of course... You could test a unit for a little while and see if you get any leaks or not... If not... send the same unit to robl45 ( not trying to volunteer anyone here, he just has the most consistant leak issue is all so was an obvious choice )... then see if the issue shows up again on his equipment.

Speaking of equipment that we are all testing on... here is what I've used..

Two Joyetech eGo-T 1000mah batteries ( used this the most )
Two seperate E-Power 14650 mods with the latest ( v4 ) switch ( Blue led, 5-click safety, works with 1.5 ohm and up )
Cyclone Vornado - very briefly since I got more dry hits on this

I saw leaks on the eGo's and the E-Power's...

I also tested with no battery and on a 510-eGo adapter ( obtained from GV ) with only one real leak ( no battery ) and the rest were very minor seeps when they happened.

I'm also not ignoring the dry hits really... I just feel they can be resolved pretty easily with some minor tweeks to the feed system.
