These are really attractive clearos. They look "just right" on my ego & the threading for the cap is a real bonus! I also like that they actually hold the advertised 2mls.

Perhaps a top coil version of this style would be leak free? Oooh... a 3ml version in the same style would be killer. It'd be way better looking than the Vision ExTReMe, IMO anyway.

well if it cant be figured out we dont want people to have to worry about random juice outs, so we will decide on what to do with them soon. if they where perfectly sealed this wouldnt be a issue, the vaccum would hold it in.

In my opinion there is definitely a learning curve for these. First fill was great, even though I couldn't fill it up all the way, which I figured out that the bottle tip wasn't in far enough. Then on the second fill I kept naturally filling right side up getting air from the bottle into the tube, which made a mess. Once I got it filled up, I got a few dry hits then just let it sit there. Picked it back up a few minutes later and it was fine again. I haven't had any leaks so far that weren't my fault.

-EDIT- Granted this is only C8 number one. Haven't taken it apart yet, and am only on the second fill.

I agree. They are very attractive. Even over the stardust, IMO.

I received two today, filled both. No leaks all day. Tonight one emptied itself out. Darn.
Does anyone else find it nearly impossible to tell if that bitty plug, on the bottom of the top seal, is actually sitting in the fill hole?
Does it matter?

yes, I stated that earlier that a better plug on the top would make it easier, tapered pin on the bottom of the plug or a bigger plug would make it easier.

the only way I know if its seated, is to do it like 5 times, and finally get the one shot where I can see its level with the surrounding cart instead of slanted at the top.

I can literally fill 3 vision giants in the time it takes to fill one of these and the giants last 3 times longer.

i'm using an ego battery, and 3 riva batteries both newer style and older style, it does it on all of them. nothing out of the ordinary here. if I lay it on its side, it doesn't seem to leak. all it takes it to forget to lay it on its side and it can leak though.

Chris...

Please don't give up on it too quick... I was just a .....'n to hear myself ........ I agree that at some point IF a cause can't be determined and then be properly addressed by the manufacturer, that it may be time to cut your losses... but it is still early.

Some of us are not having issues, some are only intermittantly... and robl45... well, we all know you sent him nothing but lemons :D ( not seriously, though he does have the worst of it so far it seems ). Which may indicate that its something with the PV configuration that is, at least in part, part of the cause.

Perhaps, just as a suggestion of course... You could test a unit for a little while and see if you get any leaks or not... If not... send the same unit to robl45 ( not trying to volunteer anyone here, he just has the most consistant leak issue is all so was an obvious choice )... then see if the issue shows up again on his equipment.

Speaking of equipment that we are all testing on... here is what I've used..

Two Joyetech eGo-T 1000mah batteries ( used this the most )
Two seperate E-Power 14650 mods with the latest ( v4 ) switch ( Blue led, 5-click safety, works with 1.5 ohm and up )
Cyclone Vornado - very briefly since I got more dry hits on this

I saw leaks on the eGo's and the E-Power's...

I also tested with no battery and on a 510-eGo adapter ( obtained from GV ) with only one real leak ( no battery ) and the rest were very minor seeps when they happened.

I'm also not ignoring the dry hits really... I just feel they can be resolved pretty easily with some minor tweeks to the feed system.

I agree about the tapered plug thingie.

I guess I'm 1 of the lucky ones...not having these issues. I've been filling them sideways as per Bad's first video. The only thing I do that I haven't seen posted is put the mouth piece on upside down, same as I used to do with the Sapphires. It's got to be something about pressure equalization.

Just my :2c:

But if it was a plug/pressure thing, wouldn't it leak out rather quickly if you totally left the top plug OUT? I vaped and rested and vaped and rested one the other night for over an hour and it did NOT leak. With NO top plug.

beats me, I vaped and rested, vaped and rested two of them for a whole night and everything was fine, then put one down for 2 minutes and there was a puddle.

I filled my first tank upside down w/ 50/50 and it leaked overnight upright. Filled the 2nd tank yesterday with Boba's 100% vg upside down and no more leaking. I do get alot of dry hits in the beginning but gone after 1/4 tank. now i can pretty much chain vape. i think the air pressure is balanced now in the tank. I am using an ego batt. I will post update on the 3rd tank.

Okay, I filled my 3rd tank the way as the other two. This time I used Gorilla Juice 100% VG. No leak. Dry hits in the beginning but lesser than the last time. Working great so with half tank enjoyed. After this tank, I am going to go back to 50/50 and see if it leaks. Will post update.

was it sitting upright? I haven't had any leak that are lying on their side, not that its useful to not be able to put it in my pocket, just curious if it leaked out lying on its side for you.

but you've helped to prove that we probably aren't going to find an easy answer for this as its just so sporatic.

yes laying on its side, it has been left on its side from day on, the other standing up and on its side for 4 fills, so yes this is very sporadic.

I really hope nobody gives up on these as i really like them.

So, I pulled the C8 of my VVPV, cleaned it last night, and filled it again. It leaked out in about 20 minutes. After cleaning it again, I pushed the end of the rubber connection in, and it didn't leak out again. So, I got another 2, and filled them up. Then I blew in really hard from the mouthpiece. Both leaked out after sitting. Pushed their center back in, and filled again. No leaking this time.

So, I often blow air in from the bottom pretty hard, but not from the top. Blowing hard in it from the top, doesn't seem to do too well with these. Anyone else seeing this?

the only time I blow in the mouthpiece is when I'm getting dry hits, same trick as with the sapphire

Actually, think about it. Blowing into the unit with enough pressure could allow air into the juice area doing one of two things. First, it would break the surface area the juice is covering, causing a siphon effect. The other only applies when the top is sealed, but that is when the air gets on the top of the juice pressing down causing it the push the juice out.
Another possible problem could be if the bottom seal isn't sealing properly. May be debris, defect or if the center pin is being flexed when screwed to a PV or adapter.
