I am ashamed to say this, but also very happy to say, the two Cryptos I have been using since receiving them 8 days ago are still vaping excellent with no leaks or dumps. No modding or cleaning have been done to them. Using mostly on the Provari. Sometimes used on the eGo. Even took them with me to today's Razorback vs. Georgia baseball game, no problems. Really sorry a lot of you are having issues with these. I mostly fill them with bottle/ blunt needle as in Bad's video, sometimes upside down w/syringe. This post just serves as an update on my experience with the Cryptos. My apologies if it appears to everyone that I'm gloating. I really hope that a solution is found though with all the problems, as I would hate for these to be discontinued. Happy vaping everyone. And Happy Easter to all.
I think I figured out the leaking thing!!!!!!!!!!! I filled upside down, put the rubber stopper in upside down and the mouthpiece again upside down, vaped for a bit off and on before bed and set it on a paper towel expecting to find wet this morning, and VIOLA none!!! I might note that I did recap this after I was done vaping and took it off the PV, just in case of leaks.
I had dismatled and cleaned this really well as it had a funky flavor (too much glue) and modded the wicks AKA LordDavon and it is vaping like mad. I want more of these as long as the nonleaking quality continues and QC at the factory improve a bit.
Bad/Dan, I think that the best thing you can do that will help you avoid this situation is put a disclaimer on new products or new versions of a product. Just to let people know that while it has gone through some testing, all of the kinks might not have been worked out and have a 'let the buyer beware' type of message. That way, people have an idea of what they might be getting into and you cover your backside a little better. Watching the video on the product pages makes it look amazing which can cause a lot of frustration and disappointment if the product turns out to have problems that others also report having. I'd leave the disclaimer up until the product has reached its final version and most of the kinks worked out or if the first version goes over fine after a couple of weeks.
thats good, but unfortunately, you still can't be sure, I thought I had fixed mine too, didn't leak overnight too, then, wham, left it for two minutes standing upright and there was a puddle.
what do you mean by recap it? are you talking about the optional caps?
Yes I am talking about the optional capI am going to take it out and about today, with backups of course, to really put thru the paces, I really want this cool little thing to work! It vapes amazing, nice easy draw, tons of vapor and good flavor.....now on to the day of testing, will update later
FYI, I am going to treat this exactly as I would any tank I would use, laying it on it's side yada ..yada....wish me well!
