i can ask them to try to improve them and then get a small amount just to carry them for those who want it, thats not a issue but if not

then in 1 week and a half we will all gather here for the funeral, wear black. Ill read a uligy

I got three from the first batch, some leaking but more dry hits then anything. still trying to tweak it. They look great and work great, when they work. I'm willing to try a v2 of the c8. I need new wicks for 2 of them now so i can keep testing.

you guys know i do this with love, and you know i work hard trying to find new things, im sure you all realize i test these products, but im not going to spend 3 weeks and 500 dollars to do so( I only do this for products im involved in), i test in batches and send to daniel to test but what i can do is take the info you all provide and move from there, im getting pm's telling me to get them improved because they love the look and build and if they can fix the issues they might have they would be perfect and still would buy them as is, thats all good but that doesnt solve the issue for the people having issues.

so ill be waiting for them to reply to me then make a decision.

Well... if and/or when a C8 v2 comes out... I suspect I'll watch the thread to see how it works out first, but I will want one if they work ok... Budget concerns require that I watch my P's and Q's... not to mention the $. I knew I was taking a gamble on a new product, this time it didn't work for me.

Gambling tip... bet against whatever I'm betting on and you'll usually increase your odds... :D

Back to the test reports etc... Last test started before I went into work around noon... I left it sit in a glass ( no batt ) after a refill and a few quick vapes... I think it seaped a little but I'm not a 100%, I forgot to clean and dry the glass before this test but I believe the bubble in it is a bit larger, but just barely.

I agree these things do look amazing, and they work really well, but maybe they should be buried. At 10 dollars a pop, they have to be perfect to make it worth the dollars. Unless they have found a way to make these last longer than everything else out there, 10 bucks for something that lasts 2 weeks is a bit pricey. Now if they didn't leak and they had swappable inner cartridges like you can get for the ego-w/f1, they would be pretty much perfect.

They do need better QC in order to be continued. I agree with that. I got some great ones, as did others... BUT, there were several with issues also. When they work, they are fantastic, and I think they even edge out the Phoenix. Yet, with the 3.5ML Phoenix coming, it is hard to think that it won't beat the C8.

I got the 2 I ordered yesterday. 1st one I filled up side down with syringe and set it down and without even vaping 1 time it started to leak out the battery connector end. 2nd one I filled the say way and let sit didn't leak yet. I took a few hits off it and got nothing but dry hits. I have not spent a lot of time trying to work through 1/2 or entire tank to let it brake in. I used a 25%VG/75% PG mix which works great on my Fluxos. Maybe after I get off work today I will endure the dry hits to see if the performance improves.

A SUGGESTION TO CHRIS/DAN:

Expand the number of people that beta test the release canidate. If you send them out to 10 people double that amt. Create a document where you ask each tester to try using and filling the carto in different ways. I.E have the tester try different VG/PG %s and notate the result in the document. Have the tester try using different PVs. Ego, Darwin, Provari etc. Basically get more scientific about the testing process. I think with a better testing process new products will end up being the best they can be with the 1st release and negate the need for you to keep having a released product improved over and over. This will increase the time to bring a new product to market but in the long run we/your customers will be much happier.

I vape all day and would gladly be a tester!

I think I am done with the C8's. While I adore how they look, I have not been very happy with them. The SIlver one was shot after 3 hits off of it, metered it and it is indeed dead and the White one has had the most yucky taste since day one and made my throat burn, I finally got sick of it and took it apart to clean it, hoping to improve the flavor and what I found is a no-no for me. Flakey and gooey glue, it might explain why it tasted so bad, I am pretty concerned about what I have been vaping with the juice softening it. Oh and can we not mention the juice dumping. I think I will wait on new things from here on out and take the "wait and see" approach. I don't like paying to be a beta tester :(

well thats the problem, you have to be a beta tester because the stuff is sold out in two days. my advice would be with whatever stock is received, put up like a 1/4 of it for the must haves that have money to burn and then wait a couple of weeks so people can try it a bit and report, then put up the rest of the stock so people have a chance of getting it without having to be a beta tester. Only reason I jumped on these is they looked real cool and I knew if I waited they would end up selling out like everything else.

Well... I've have a different opinion about the testing...

Testing is the responsibility of the manufacturer as is any follow up QC testing to ensure all batches are up to the standard the company is expecting. I do believe a distibuter of a product is also responsible to verify that a product they are going to sell is up to their standards... but they also need to trust the company they are purchasing the product from and shouldn't need to re-verify what should have been verified by the maker first.

This is One of the Hardest things about bringing a New Product to the Market.

An OEM can send you a Test Run of a New Product, but what guarantees are there that the Production Runs will Perform at the Same Level or that the Quality will Remain the Same?

I feel Sorry for Any Retailer because I know that New Products are Usually Not made to the Same Standards in Production/Quality Control as are for Samples to be given to a Retailer for Evaluation.

I am actually a bit upset. My first one hasn't even lasted a week. I didn't have a bunch of dry firing or anything before it appears to have an open circuit. $10 down the drain. I have yet to ever burn a coil. Never. This is strange. I know it wasn't dry. Took it off to change batteries and not it doesn't work. The bottom pin is in place and doesn't appear to have been twisted.
I may think twice next time about being a guinea pig when things are priced at $10 per carto.

After at least 10 fills though, it never dumped its juice. That part wasn't an issue for me. Now to test my second one.
