I can also tell you that somebody in the office has come up with what is probably the most applicable name so keep thinking. The steam has let out a little bit, so you should probably let it run to the 300 posts first. But to make a poll, you just make a new thread, type your post info, then scroll down past the text box and smileys, then you'll see a check-mark to make it a poll. You can have up to 15 choices. Then you hit submit and follow through with the rest of the directions. I've never made one, but have walked to the end and canceled. There is a thread someplace that explains it pretty well, but I can't remember where it is at.

Other than that, SK had a good idea with the "Like" button thing. You could start a new thread and have people submit up to X number of their favorite names that they picked. They would need to be in separate posts so you could tell which one was being voted on, and have people use the "Like" button to vote for them.
