With the help from Jazzy, I was able to pretty much set on how I want to vape, but I have a few more questions and concerns...

I liked the idea of running a vv gripper with 2200-3000 mah batteries, with the vivi "rebuildable" tank... but after looking deeper in to said setup, I saw things like the gripper and vivi nova tanks didn't work well together, and the vivi nova v2.5 tanks had leakage issues? Is anyone able to shed some more light on these matters, or able to suggest better alternitives? I am a heavy smoker/vaper and use high nic juices if that matters at all.

But in short, I'm currently on an inferno with tube tank, and I am wanting something that taste good but has a lot of vapor. (Dripping is inconvenient more times than not)

I have a VV Gripper and I run everything on them, including Vivi Novas, regular and mini. I haven't ever had problems with leaking on any of my VN's. I do use a 510/510 adapter or a 510/ego adapter on all my mods to save the threads on the PV. Doing this also eliminates any of the airflow issues that I have heard can happen with some devices. On the Gripper, I also add a type c or type d tank cone (forgot which one) on the ego adapter, since the 510 connector on the Gripper is a bit wobbly and this stabilizes it some. The Gripper is one of my favorite PV's, the form factor is great.

Thanks for your response. But that sounds like a lot of stuff o.o

What is a form factor? Just how comfortable it is to use?

I think I can figure out what a 510/510 adapter does, since you said the stock gripper adapter is wobbly, I assume it turns a wobbly connector in to a good connector?

I have absolutely no idea what a type c or d tank cone is or does or what to look for to purchase one...

How is the vapor production with the gripper and VN? amongst flavor and TH?

And lastly... pic please? :D

Edit: how long do the heads last you on average at what settings? I plan to buy heads at first then move on to rebuilding them...

Where I bought my Gripper, by form factor, I mean the size and shape. The Gripper easily fits in the palm of my hand.

Adapters

Cones
eGo Steel Sleeve Cone (Type C / Type D/Type E) [F-D7 DC TypeCD] - $2.50 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail

Your vapor production, flavor, and throat hit will have multiple components. The gripper only supplies the power and will be the same as any other variable voltage device. Different mods have different features, but their primary purpose is power. The Vivi Nova is convenient, the mini is pretty small at 1.6 ml and the larger is 3 ml, easily enough for a whole day for me. Vapor and TH will be more influenced by your ejuice than the Vivi Nova, in my opinion. Flavor is a bit muted compared to dripping or any of the more complicated Genesis style atomizers, but save the Genesis for when you really get into vaping. That said, when I have the time and am not out and about, dripping is still my favorite for vapor, flavor, and TH.

My Gripper with a 510/ego adapter (hidden), a type d cone, and a mini Vivi Nova with a stainless steel drip tip.

Ok, I get the concept of it all, and it looks quite clean. (The color and appearance/design) Except the adapter... Which exactly am I wanting? the 510/510 to 510/510 with hole? without? what?? I think maybe 510/eGo to eGo/510? since the cone is a ego connection?

I do thank you for the time and links!

And yea, dripping is nice, except the fact its hit or miss with me, and usually miss... I either flood it, or get nothing, don't know the difference in low and high res attys, and the convenience of the tank seems more up my ally. I did volcanos clearos for a while, but I went through 3-5 a day... I got it bad lol. But from my understanding the VN taste far better than those, and I trust the source.

Thank you also, noi_max.

So other than the previous question about which adapter, about how long do the heads last on average before needing to be replaced? I know an exact amount of time is impossible, but I am going to try to order some spares, just don't know how many I'll need.

For the Gripper, I use the 510/ego adapter so I can use the cone. The cone helps to stabilize the 510 connection in the Gripper. I screw the 510/ego adapter into the Gripper's 510 connection and then screw the cone down as far as it can go right up against the Gripper, it gives a wider base for my device and additional stability. On other mods I have, where the 510 base on the mod isn't wobbly, I use a 510/510 connector. For the Vivi Nova I use an unsealed 510/510 adapter as it helps to have additional airflow. With some devices, like the Phoenix or Chobra Genesis clones, the airhole is on the side and not in the base of the device, so a sealed 510/510 adapter works just fine.

With a variable volt device like the Gripper, it doesn't matter if you use low res or high res, you can just adjust the voltage to get the vape you want. I find my Vivi Nova stock heads can last 2 weeks to a month, but I tend to rebuild now every couple of weeks at least. They usually don't suddenly stop working, the coil gets gunked up, even with regular cleaning, to a point where the flavor isn't as good.

If you love dripping and aren't afraid of trying your hand at rebuilding, the Phoenix clone is a great atomizer. And it holds 8-15 drops, so you don't have to worry about flooding and can vape more than 4-5 toots.

Sorry to ask so many questions, I just want to make sure I have it right, lol... More of a visual/hands on learner, not a reading learner... Thank you for your patience thus far.

I will probably move on to the phoenix or clone of it once I rebuild a few VN heads that are good. 15 drops sounds quite nice, I could do that during the evenings. Also a good thing that you get "warning signs" about a VN head dying and not just fizzle out.

The vaping world has evolved so much over the last few years... I thought I knew something when I cleaned my own cartos lol...

And also, graybuck... I know the feeling, I do the same thing... My first order from volcano, I spent near $500 making sure I had stuff to last... And I still have/use most of it from time to time... At least I will always have backups :D
