Methinks politics will soon infiltrate this thread. I'll take freebies from big tobacco. With what they're trying to position themselves for and deeming regulations they've surely had influence in... plus the fact they're unscrupulous and known to add myriads of harmful, addiction increasing chemicals to their products, I surely won't be trying, advocating or buying any of their ecig products.

I don't like poison be it ingested, inhaled or written into law to favor those who produce poison for ingestion or inhalation purposes.

Don't know how I smoked all those years besides the nature of addiction.

The Vuse has some kind of chip counter in the cartomizer that makes you have to put on another one around 200 puffs.

The word on the street is that their "superquantum micro-polymer developed-for-NASA" technology is nothing more than a moisture sensor. It's been suggested that the Vuse carts are refillable as well, as long as you act early. If you let it sense dry batting, it permanently disallows that cartridge from being used. But, if you refill when it's still half full...

[edit] I got the free Vuse coupons as well, and have dragged my feet redeeming them. I will test this hypothesis, if I ever do grab a free Vuse. [\edit]

That's what I've heard, anyway. Pretty good stuff. A safe, tamper-proof closed-system from our friends at RJR :toast:

I'd love to get a free one in the mail just so i could return it. With a note saying yep, i'm a vaper but am consciously choosing to NOT EVER vape anything made by THEM. I will never support tobacco companies.

and no, not cause [snark] oh, they forced you to smoke, right? [/end snark] - but because I don't want my money going towards their lobbyists, who will only directly use my own money against me, to try to shut down the vaping industry as we now know it. Of course practically speaking I realize my little 2 cents of lost revenue won't really make any difference, but it's the principle. I can't in good conscience contribute to the tobacco lobby who is trying to shut us down, AND trying to corner the whole market with terrible, crap-tasting, inferior vaping products...I would only be directly contributing to effing myself up. And that's just stupid.

Additionally I don't trust them to leave e-juice alone at its' current 4 ingredients. Considering they added so many thousands of chemicals to the tobacco in cigarettes, I would not doubt they will do (or already have done) the same to 'their' version of e-juice. Based upon their track record and M.O. in the industry, I don't trust them to NOT add a bunch more chemicals to juice.

... and lastly, so far their flavor selections are very limited, and i ADORE having a huge choice of many varied different flavors; that's one of the things that makes vaping so appealing and satisfying for me. I want it to stay that way, so again it comes back to refusing to contribute to their lobby that's attempting to limit my/our choice.

So even if it's free, I won't be using any products made by any cigarette manufacturers.

I got the free coupon for Vuse & the carts.

Vuse tastes like burnt cabbage - didn't even finish the first cartridge before I gave it away.
Plus, it is so strong I couldn't handle it. 2.4% is my limit (I use 1.8% personally) - Vuse's 4.8% is twice as strong as the highest level typically available - and that means one thing: To hook you on it, and that means $$$ for BT.

I'd be willing to try the Marloboro one as I'm curious, but I don't have any of their coupons.

I think everyone should get as much as they can from BT and then just throw it all in the trash. It has to cost them a bit to run these offers, right?

I do my absolute best to increase the operating costs of the places I do not support for one reason or another. After all, it comes out of their advertising budget. Perhaps we can make a dent in that if we all get the freebies and never order a replacement. Kinda like using the 800 phone number instead of the local one...every call costs at least a little bit!

Now on the flip side, for the companies I do support? I always use their local number even if it is long distance (with cell phones, what is 'long distance'), I use my debit card not a credit card to save them the processing fees etc. Just my little act of defiance against the unscrupulous big business out there.

'Cause they FORCED you to smoke, right?
Nope, but they do have a history of adding unnecessary chemicals to their products, it was my poor choices that led me to cigs, but now that I'm finally free of them I'm not in any hurry to dive back into their business models. I don't think their ecigs are bad, I think they have the potential to "gateway" a lot of people. I actually got a coupon in the mail for a free vuse set yesterday, gave it to a lady at the gas station, she seemed excited.

I once tried a Marlboro e-cig. I wasn't impressed and I am happy I didn't spend a buck on it. It had a taste of panic caused by changing tides and frantic need to catch up. I have no illusions , once the Big Tobacco get into full gear they may even try to dominate the e-cig market, but as many people have commented here I do not trust companies that have history of making cigarettes with additives which are addictive :) . Well only the future will show what will happen .

The Mark Ten here sucks balls. I tried it once and it turned me off e-cigs for almost a year. If your looking for a cigalike to stealth vape just get Vuse. I recommend the menthol. The only time the tobacco flavor is tolerable is when your first starting out on it. The menthol though taste quite good. This cigalike unlike others not only hits well for a cigalike but it has a long battery life and it is a lot cheaper to buy. The Solo kit is only 10 bucks. 6 dollars for a pack of 2 cartridges.

I tried them both, because they sent me free coupons and I was curious to see what their "research" had come up with as a superior product. They're decent cig-a-likes, perform about the same as the disposables I tried a year and a half ago. The tobacco tastes like burnt coffee though, and the menthol tastes like minty burnt coffee.

With the tobacco I wouldn't call it burnt coffee but it isn't the best. I do have to disagree on the Vuse Menthol taste though. Then again I haven't had them since I switched over to my Itaste VV with Kanger Aerotank mini. Perhaps now that my taste buds are returning to their former glory I will be able to taste the same. I can say though they beat the hell out of Green Smoke's Menthol. lol Also unlike the green smoke's the last hit doesn't taste burnt and I still got a decent hit.

I only tried a few puffs of the vuse menthol before I gave it to someone who still smokes, but it tasted pretty much just like menthol, with a hint of their normal "tobacco" flavor, at least to me.

And again I ask how you all got the free coupons?

A long time ago I signed up with both Marlboro and Camel to get coupons for the cigarettes, since then I've always gotten coupons from both, pretty much monthly. It's good because as of now my wife still smokes so every little bit helps. Marlboro used to send me stuff a couple times a year, my favorite being a credit card sized/shaped bottle opener.
