Hello everybody! Today I have the Freemax Onnix 2 pod to review, sent to me by Freemax.

This is a very simple, straightforward device that looks nice and functions well, and it’s very convenient to grab and go.

In the box you get:

  • 1x Freemax Onnix 2 battery

  • 1x Freemax Onnix 2 pod

  • 1x Ox DVC 0.80ohm coil, installed

  • 1x Ox DVC 1.0ohm coil

  • 1x Type C charging cable

  • 1x Warranty card

  • 1x Warning card

  • 1x User manual

The pod holds 2mls of liquid, and is filled with a bung on the side, which is tucked away inside the top of the battery when installed.

The battery is 900mAh, which I think could be a little bigger, but it’s sufficient for it’s purpose. Compatible coils include .5, .8, 1.0, 1.2, and 1.5 ohms. I have tried both of the included coils and find them to have good flavor, and lasted me about a week and a half – which is good, considering the sweet gummy candy juice I’m using in it.

The affordability and ease-of-use would make this a great first vape for anyone trying to quit. It’s very basic to learn and totally fiddle-free. I can recall being so frustrated with wonky devices when I first switched, it nearly sent me back to smoking, so a flawlessly functioning pod is something I can highly recommend.

It is both draw activated and can be fired with the button. To turn it on, five clicks. To turn on the fire button, three clicks. I love this and use this feature all the time. I like the fire button when I’m just sitting around, but I turn it off to pop the pod in my pocket. I haven’t accidentally fired it even with the button on, it only protrudes just enough to find it blind, but it’s nice to have the option and I take advantage of it.

It’s not tiny, at 15.3x24.4x109mm, which is why I think there would have been room for a little more battery power. It’s small enough for a pocket, not so tiny it’s easy to lose, feels nice and smooth in the hand. And no leaks. The inside is dry as a bone. The pod stays firmly in place.

It comes in black, gray, green, red, blue, and pink.

The Freemax Onnix 2 is definitely something I would recommend to a person who’s looking to quit smoking, or to any vaper who wants a small, fuss-free, easy to use device for out and about.

Thanks, Freemax, for the opportunity to review the Onnix 2!
