I want to make French Toast juice (with maple) but instead of using "french toast" flavor as part of the recipe, I want to try doing it from scratch. I'm guessing some kind of bakery flavor, cream, vanilla, cinnamon, butter and maple. I actually don't like over sweet so no extra sweetener (or very little) What is missing is egg flavor. I don't mind using something like a custard (creamy, vanilla, and egg?) or cinnamon roll (bakery, cinnamon and sweet) just don't want the "french toast" flavor (yes, doing it the hard way... to learn) Another option might be graham cracker crust (bakery and butter)

i stole this, since i have never made anything like it.
RF-Cinnamon Custard, FLV-Eggnog and CAP-Vanilla Custard to add more spices, egg and mouthfeel to the mix.

The FLV-Maple Bar and FA-Maple Syrup were to bring out the syrup flavor. The FA-Zeppola was used for the fried aspect.

What is Zeppola... can you describe the flavor (sounds interesting)
OK, was hoping for more ideas, so here's a few of mine. I plan on using flavor concentrates and my standard base (65VG/35PG 12 mg nic, then adding some premade (vapetasia Killer Kustard 70VG/30PG 12 mg nic... just because I already have a bunch and it's too much on it's own) So, thinking "cinnamon roll, "churro", and "maple" in my base, then mix that with Killer Kustard. Might substitute Zeppola for the churro. BTW, is there a "butter" flavor that is not diacetyl?

Fried dough.
The flavor notes on ELR are quite useful.

That sounds about right (don't need the custard because I'll just use mt Killer Kustard for that... and it provides lots of vailla that I like in my french toast) Thanks.

Oh I have to try the Zeppola! I have apple Pie flavor... mixed with "fried dough" sound a lot like apple fritter to me.
HSD, have you actually tried it?
Nope, I popped over to ELR calculator, clicked on the resources tab, then flavor list, typed in the name, and read the notes.

I haven't done FT from scratch, but fried dough sounds about right.

Isn't churrizo (or however you spell it) a bit cinnamon-y? Not sure I'd use that not with maple flavor anyway....

IDK I have a perfectly good couple French toast flavors I just use those. But... If you want to climb that mountain and etc... Good luck :)

Right you are, but I'm afraid the answer does not do it justice.

The classic NY style zeppole is a rolled-ball fast deep fried light pizza dough shaken in the bag with confectioners sugar. About the most addictive delicacy for the compulsive I can imagine. Don't even go there while organically inclined.

For the afficionados, my favorite iteration of the species came from Pizza Town USA on Rt. 46 in Elmwood Park NJ. However, a bakery near Dadeland Mall (US1) in Kendall, FL made a close 2nd if somewhat pouffier variety.

Zeppola Flavor by Flavour Art is strongly reminiscent but requires some marshmallow whipped cream to bring out some of the dusty sweetness of the powdered sugar.

Good luck. :)

p.s. Glad you guys understood what I meant, lol.

You just made me realize, my childhood pizzaria served these. Delicious.

I think it's spelled "churro"? I make FT all the time... in fact it's the first thing I learned to cook when I was 5 years old! I always add vanilla and cinnamon. Sometimes I prefer berry syrup over maple, but for this it has to be maple (so others will recognize it as FT.
I just tried VapeWild "smurf cake" (blueberry cake) I was disappointed because I mostly only taste cake (so I just added some berry mic flavor concentrate to fix that. Then I suddenly realized I now have a cake (dough, eggs) ingredient. I also have chai tea flavor concentrate (mostly cinnamon and nutmeg... I like that in FT too) so it seems all I need now is zeppola and maple. Just for kicks, mixed some smurf cake, killer custard (pre-made juices), chai tea, and a bit of graham cracker... will try that and then add berry mix (I'm out of control) Really want that "fried" taste though. I'm having so much fun (feel like a kid with a new chemistry set)

OK, the chai tea spices are not going to work (need just cinnamon) but it tastes good any... adding berry mix. I can see the zeppola is totally what I need (must have that "fried" taste!) BTW, are most maple flavors very sweet? I don't like overly sweet and the killer kustard adds enough sweetness anyway.
