My first Cisco atomizer lasted 15 days. :( I hit it a few minutes ago and got a terrible burned taste, then nothing. Ohms are off the chart (137). Since this was my first atomizer experience, did I let it get dry or did it just finally die?

Time to order a couple more Ciscos I guess. Need a discount code for Avidvaper, don't we? :vapor:

Thanks. I dry hit it a lot of times but I am still learning. The Boge 510s are working fine for me, they are 2.0 or 2.1. Wish I could find another sale on them.

At one point, I was under the impression this was cheaper than smoking. :)

It's probably cheaper than chemo and oxygen tanks. :p

It is now that you have the REO. You could blow through a Cisco atty every other day and come out ahead.

It's the nature of attys in general. They pop with no rhyme or rhythm. Sometimes they'll pop after only a few hours use. They get hot, especially if you are using a 1.5 and IRM batts for example. Dry burning will pop them for sure if you aren't super careful and kinda know how much they can handle. There are guides to doing this around here. Imagine too the tiny wires in them and the stress they endure because of the heat. It's a wonder we get the life out of them that we do.

Are you using a Cisco 1.5? If so are you using an IMR batt? That combo produces over 5V and if heated on long draws the atty will actually burn you. I guess in a couple months I go through about four of them. Not to popping, but to just getting gummed up mostly.

No way that I'd trade this for smoking. With my old Marlboro Lights (now Golds) at 45 bucks a carton I'm saving a ton of money every month. I was burning 2-3 packs a day of those damn things. Yuck!!

Hope this helps.

:)

I am sure I will catch up in the cost area. I figure the most I can spend on good liquid is 50/month. It is all the other things that get you, extra batteries, backup charger, spare attys, another Reo in case something happens to my first one. I imagine we are all in the same boat more or less. However, these Reos are magnificent !!!!! Something must be wrong with me though, I do not want a mini. However, a Woodvil is quite a different story :)

I got 3 Cisco 2.0 ohm atomizers, the second one has a burnt taste. I have 2 of the Boge on the Reos now, they are 2.0 ohm also. I will get some vodka from my sister and clean the Cisco that has the burnt taste this weekend. Yea, AW IMR 18650s - the red ones.

I was real happy with the first Cisco and think I may have been the cause of the second one tasting burnt. Lesson learned. Let the liquid soak in the atomizer and always load about 5 drops to start with. Does that sound about right?

I put in enough to cover the bridge ... about 10 drops and let sit 10 min.
Then I still give a little squonk before the first hit :)

I burnt up a lot of attys on the first hit til Cisco himself shared this method with me :):)

I know that is right for the 306's, but he's using the 510's. Would you do the same for those?

I kind of like the idea of using the same size batteries in everything.

Me too, but 18650 for me :)

BTW, did you clean the Atty at all in the 15 days. That makes a huge difference in life span for me

I don't ever go more than 48 hours without steam cleaning. That why I keep 15 or more in rotation.
Pull them every couple of days and clean a pile every couple of weeks :)

Hard to tell how long they last that way but some of my rotation is 7 months old so I think I do ok with attys.
