Good link to have:

Ohm's Law Calculator

From what I have read you want to keep you amps at or below 2 or very close to it and your watts around 8. When you go above it you risk shorting the life of the carto, atty and can burn some juices. Keep in mind a lot of batteries charge higher than 3.7v. I'm not saying you cant run 1.5 many people do, but the calculator lets you see just what your getting.

I just bought a Grand and opted for the 1.8 cisco's as a happy medium. It is slightly over the 2 amps and 8 watts but not by a lot based on my 18650 putting out 4v.. Change the number to 1.5 ohms and see how much it changes things.

I also picked up some of the LR Boge carto's as well over here, best price I found on them with free shipping.

As far as atty ohms go, I think it depends in part in what type--not brand--of juice you are using. I think the 1.5 really shines when you use it with tobacco juices. You get more throat hit, which is a key part if you are looking for something that is as cigarette-like as you can get. If you are into sweeter juices, the 1.8 or 2.0 gives more depth of flavor. I keep a few 1.5s around, and make sure and have plenty of 1.8s, as they are a happy medium. I am going to get some Boge 2.0 Cartos, because I keep hearing raves, and just haven't ordered any yet, but this thread has convinced me to make getting some a priority.

Understandable, but most of that was probably due to variables that are eliminated by the REO.

just throwing it out there. I use both attys and cartos and either one can be flawless on a REO with a bit of experience under your belt.

thx for the advice.. i def think what you're saying is true.. I MIGHT just have to give carts a try again.. not anytime soon though lol..

If you are new at using a 306 atty, I can highly recommend getting a clear Cannon drip tip from Cherry Vapes. Because you can see the liquid, it makes it easy for you to figure out when to squeeze the bottle to get more juice in your atty.

As much as I like the idea of cartomizers, I just don't have very good luck with them.

ah I did get some clear acrylic driptips with my order.. is there a difference with the Cannon's?

good link... saving this for when i get a multimeter.
Just make sure you try a LR 901 such as an Ikenvape. The flavor the 901's give is amazing so get at least one of them to try.Almost forgot you will need a 510 to 901 adapter too to use it.

will do. probably try it out in my next atomizer order

and thanks again to the others that replied with their opinions about the ohms of the atomizers regarding what they use with certain flavors of e-juices. definitely took a mental note

thx again everyone

I am just now trying a 510 carto on one of my Reos. I have an atty on one and a carto on one. It has been a bit of a learning curve trying to sqounk juice in thru the bottom but I am kind of getting the hang of it. Since attys seem to all act a little different, I may end up liking the cartos. Time will tell I guess :)

Thats good to hear. Once you get the hang of the very light blind squonk they can work very well.
I will never be 100% Carto or 100% atty
They both have their advantages and I have enough REOs to spread the love around.

I hope you meant cartos not carts .... :)
Cartomizers (cartos) work pretty darn well.
Cartridges (carts) should all be banished from the earth !!

One of the advantages of the cartos is they will not instantly die. I am doing as you suggested for keeping the carto loaded, seems to be working well since my bottle level is going down :) it does gurgle a little after a squonk. I have my atty supply up so I think I will order some more 2.0 cartos this week. Thanks for your advice.

Also, if you're buying from Avidvaper.com, don't forget to tell them that you're using the atty with a Reo.

Hmm I just ordered some 306's from Avid to use with my mini woodvil but didn't mention that I was going to use them with a REO and then just read this. What happens if I do mention this? I sent a ticket through the web site but am not sure it's going to reach him before shipping. Should I try harder?

Also I read a lot below that 306's are really finicky... Anyone want to give me a lesson?? ;)

The fit issues with Cisco's attys & REO's have been resolved.

Read this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/190995-how-use-306-mini.html

I love my Cisco 306's

Hi Birdbrains,

I think clear drip tips are nice to have with the 306, especially if you are new to that atty. Having said that I don't find the 306 finicky at all. I vape until I can sense they are getting a little dry then I squonk the bottle until just a wee bit of juice flows out of the holes(slots) that are located where the connector and the atty meet.
Then I do a dry pull on the drip tip( sucking without hitting the fire button) to pull that juice up to the atty before I hit the fire button. It sounds much more complicated than what it is. It becomes second nature in no time at all.

Birdbrain....you should also drop a few drops of juice on to the bridge of the atty before anything and let it soak a bit before you fire it up. Thats for a brand new atty. Let it soak for a few minutes then do a light squonk and hit that baby. As the juice level in the bottle goes down it takes more time to get the juice up to the atty. When the bottle is full just a tiny squonk will bring the juice up and you'll see it start to come out the holes in catchcup. As the juice level goes down in the bottle a longer squonk will be needed.

Good catch! From Cisco's LR 306 user guide https://docs.google.com/document/d/...PsIv8f3_qI/edit?hl=en&authkey=CKqp6eoO&pli=1# :

• When using a new LR 306 for the first time, it is important to prime the atomizer properly. Cisco LR 306 atomizers come with NO PRIMER, therefore special care must be taken. Priming is done by dripping 4 to 5 drops directly onto the atomizer coil, waiting about 60 seconds, then dripping another 1 to 2 drops. After this is done, you are ready to take your first drag. Do not press the button before this point.
