I got a tank today, and filled it up, using a BOGE carto. I've never used a tank, but I followed the instructions given and it all seemed to be working fine. Then a burnt taste and NOTHING. So, I took the tank off that batt and put it on another batt and burnt taste again, then nothing. Now I have one batt that is completely DOA, won't charge, won't do anything. And another batt that the light on the button won't go off.
WTH did I do??

Do you have anything else to try on those batteries? Sounds like a bad carto. Did you fill the carto before putting it in the tank?
Yes, tried a clearo and neither batt now works. At all. And, yes, I filled the carto. Boge LR punched carto (punched myself) and an IBtanked tank, 1100 mah batts. It was all working fine for 45 mins or so. Then POOF. I don't know what I did!!
I don't see any liquid coming out the bottom of the carto. The TOP of it is juicy-looking.

try wiggling the connector out a tad with like a tiny screwdriver or something, i have to do that with my twists every time i charge them, boges can push it in too far.
I agree that is something to try. The positive post being pushed in is something to check, doesn't account for the sudden burning of the cartomizer...but I'd check it anyways.

It could have been that carto that caused a short...definitely wouldn't put that on anything else. Perhaps a good reason to upgrade from an eGo so that you can have some protection built in.

Tell me what to buy, as seriously, I am DONE w/ these. I don't want to do this again.
Do I need to have any concern as to the safety of this batt that won't turn off? This is making me nervous. I've read stories about these things "blowing up"... so to speak.

OK, I did this. And that did at least make the one batt light turn off. But did not help in the other one coming on when buttonn pushed.
I'm going to assume that I shorted out my carto, which shorted out my batts. I'll throw these away tomorrow. I'm going to buy pre-punched cartos. And I want SAFE batts, if ya'll can guide me in that direction. I'd prefer same threading as the ego, if possible, as I have clears, tanks, etc that go with.

THANK YOU!

Natasha, just for the record- I have been vaping on egos-twists for almost three years and still have and use even those I bought from the beginning. the ONLY ones that have ever died on me, were from a bad cartomizer and that carto killed 4 egos in a row before I realized it was the carto killing them. When tested, that carto was only .8 ohms---waaaay too hot for most anything.
I still have a three year old 650 ego on a lanyard around my neck that I use off and on, every single day, from the time I get up until it is bedtime, LOL !!

LOL 4 in a row. Need to learn to buy these batts in 6-packs.
Well these were my first ego batts & both maybe 2 weeks old. And my first ever carto. And I blew them all up in less than 45 mins!
I guess I need to get something to test ohms before using any carto again. I need to learn some things about PV SAFETY!

Chances are the ohms in the carto fell well below 'lr' level - you'll fry any batt that way..

really need to have Back ups for everything when we vape, LOL !!
Honestly, joye ego products are really reliable and I know this from experience. But, the cartos are iffy to say the least, and I do believe that from all the companies. Boge cartos were always the best, but even those are not always reliable lately.
But backups are very important when we depend on vaping to keep our sanity.

twists are pretty nice for what they are, i've built 1 ohm coils on them without issues but again, i have to pull the post every time i charge them which can be a hassle.
depending on what you're willing to spend or what you want their can be tons of devices that you'd enjoy so starting a thread as mentioned above would be a great idea and be as specific as possible so you can get exactly what you want

btw, everything listed on my signature is working great for me and i mainly use cartos as well
