I'm so happy I have to tell someone.

Since my first 510 kit from eFox cigs with Fluval filter mods, Lipton teabag mods, etc.. I settled on direct dripping.
Since those early days I have tried dozens of mods from manual to variable voltage.
Atomizers, Cartomizers, Fluxomizers, Dual coil cartomizers, Taks, etc...

In the end I always reverted to Direct Dripping, despite the leaking, flooding, and dry hits.
But now I finally believe I have my perfect setup.

Manual mod (The Natural)
Terminator tank (3mm Stormy vapor cellar wick, and 4/3 wrap of Kanthal 30g, .999 silver No-Res)

I have to give a quick thanks to v4pe_chase for checking the WTB classifieds section before posting a "for sale"
for the Terminator.
This may just be the end of my Direct Dripping. :p

Took a nightmare trip down memory lane so those who are wondering will have to wonder no more. We've come a long way! and it was not easy getting to where we are today. Some of us tasted some pretty nasty 'stuff' along the way - lol

WARNING: The following links may cause some to have flashbacks.

Blue Fish tank foam cartridge mod in 1st post. Scroll down a little and you'll see it:

ROFL ... no you don't.

But it was one of the first "mods" we vapers did. Change out the polyfill on your cartridge (not cartomizer, a cart for an atty) with lipton pyramid tea bags.

Is it bad that I still have a box of those Lipton pyramid tea bags? They tasted fine last time I had a sore throat and actually made some tea with them. :p

No, its perfectly stock, stuffed the 3mm wicking in there nice and tight.
I vape 100% VG juice and so far 1 and 1/2 full turns opens it up for some chain vaping.
I had some 70%(PG)/30%(VG) juice and I only opened it up 3/4 a turn.

Might have a lot to do with the quality of wick material, I dunno, I'm not an expert on any of the wicking stuff.

So yeah!
3mm wick from StormyVapor Cellar, 4/3 - 5/4 wrap of Kanthal 32gauge = Happiness :D

Oh! I shouldn't have clicked the links. Just seeing those again I can actually taste the burning Filter material.
I'm sure Fluval and Lipton are still trying to figure out why their sales tripled or a brief year, then mysteriously went back down.

I remember trying to find those pyramid tea bags. I asked at a grocery store and the dude said "we can't seem to keep them in stock --- they're really popular!". Uh huh. :)

mccawley, did you mod your Terminator to allow for the 3mm wick?? I have 2mm wick, but haven't been happy with the performance. I had heard 3mm won't fit, though. Good looking setup, btw, I need a mech mod ASAP!

OK, since this post I have used 3.5mm wick and after coiling, unraveled two of the strands each side and cut them flush with the top and the remaining strands stuffed into the channels. Same vape but only have to open the top 1/2 twist or so.
