Well, think I graduated from a noob to a semi-noob, maybe. Been about 2 1/2 months since first vape (NO analogs since the first toke!) Started with the obligatory starter kits, moved on to better batts and pre-filled, and now have been filling my own cartos. Joined CASAA in the hope of helping to preserve this incredible alternative to my 45 year addiction. OK, so now maybe I need to take another step up. Besides my stick 510 batts, my main ones are two eGo 1000mAh upgrades (and I LOVE them, so reliable, know I can have a "smoke" at 2AM if I want it). Well, I knew that there's two different threads on the eGo, the 510 female and the "other??" male thread. So, that means (just dawning on me, duh) I can try a clearomizer on these batteries, no? I've avoided that next step because I thought I'd have to buy a whole new setup. If I can use them on the eGo I'm willing to give the next step a try. Or am I looking at this all wrong?

And again, I have to thank everyone on this forum for their help and guidance. Priceless. When I first started I was listening to advice from liquor and wine shop owners, who in retrospect likely knew less than I did.

There's a whole new world of juice delivery devices out there for you to explore: clearomizers, clearotanks, and cartotanks. All of them will work on your Ego batteries.

Some of them are actually "rebuildable", which means instead of throwing the whole device away when the heads die, there are replacement heads to put into the tank in order to allow you to continue using the tank. Cartotanks are a different category, but when the cartomizer needs replaced, you just use a new cartomizer and continue using the tank.

Oh, and I see from the comments after the primer I am just one of a long line of new folks you've educated to this. That's amazing and you deserve big kudos for it. I agree with one of the comments that it should be a stickie, if it's not already.
Thanks for the kudos. I've already asked the forum administrator to have it stickied, but the request has fallen on Old Soldier's deaf ears. ;)

Well, IMHO it should be a stickie, gave me lots of info I wouldn't have otherwise found.

Yeah, tomorrow I'll be looking at clearos. My re-filling of pre-filled cartos has "worked" but kinda less than satisfactorily. Think it's time to move up, clearos sound like what I need. Plus I've got three orders of juices coming on Tuesday, so timing couldn't be better. Instead of wasting the juice on old pre-filled I intend to try them on a clearo. Thank you again!

I own most Clearomizers. Many work very well as an upgrade. Some need a little help to perform properly.
Avoid ce4 - non serviceable and difficult to clean/dry. Ce5 is the updated version.

I would recommend for the slight price difference, that you give the Evods a try. Very impressive for a smaller clearo. Excellent performance, fully serviceable and rebuild-able. mild learning curve.

Check out various Clearos on youtube. PBusardo did a shootout covering many.

Just in case you don't know it already, some juices will crack or melt some clearos. Citrus, cinnamon, and colas to name a few. If you like those get a Kanger Protank. I like the Kanger T3 for safe juices, but they do have a habit of leaking sometimes.

Smoktech is coming out with a pyrex clearomizer soon, too. It is mentioned in my above blog article.

He kind of sets himself up as sounding REALLY old. His "deaf ears" usually sounds like he's just not gonna listen. But "Old Soldier's deaf ears" sounds like an old codger who is deaf as a stone.

I think I'm ready! Just re and reread Bad's description links (great info) and I think I'm going for the Vivi Nova. Had two questions tho. First, why would someone want the "mini" version? Just personal taste, maybe? And second, about the atomizer heads. I was looking for some kind of "ball park figure" of about how long one might last. One of the sites, think it was for a Evod, says generally ten to twenty days. That's amazing if true. I'll definitely be through with cartos in that case. Is that a fair guesstimate?

And as always, THANKS so much for the guidance...

Jmur- I have a vivi nova as well as a kanger protank as my clearo's. love the nova, as far as a good flavor it is hard to beat. The head lasts about 10 to 14 days for me and I would consider myself an avid vaper. Just got the protank so I can't give a timeline on that one yet. Clearo's IMO are the way to go.

Thanks so much! That's what I wanted to hear. Ordered yesterday from MFF along with spare heads. Can't wait for this delivery!

I have also heard good things about the EVOD but I do not own one. That is going to be my next clearo purchase.

I just got an EVOD, and so far it's my favorite thing ever when paired with the coil units from the MT3S (which has a longer stem to reduce leakage into the mouthpipe portion). Just wish it was longer (but still the same diameter) so it could hold more juice, but it holds enough for a whole day for me.
