I am returning to vaping after a long hiatus...

I purchased a Volt X2 900mah auto battery.

I use 100% VG juice; so, I bought the Super Shorty Cartomizers for the 808. EXCELLENT results.

When the carto's were in the mail they got sent to the wrong place; so I went to a local smoke shop and asked them if they had any cartos or clearomizers for an 808. The salesman sold me 3 clearomizers. When I got them home they did not fit on my X2. The next day with X2 in hand I went back to the store. Evidently the salesman did not hear me when I said 808. It turns out all of their stuff is 510.

Rather than returning them, I ordered 808 battery to 510 head adapters. When I put the clearos on the adapter on the X2, and draw, the light does not go on on the battery and I get no vape at all.

I wonder if anyone has successfully used 808-510 adapters with an X2 auto at all?

Having read a little more now, I am planning to order a couple of T3s when Smokeless Image has them back in stock to test out.

Is the adapter sealed? Does it have a hole that goes all the way through? If not it won't work.

I would ask "Does the adapter have a vent hole" as well. For an automatic to work, the air needs to flow through the entire unit (including the battery). Your adapter needs to provide an air pathway through, but it also needs to NOT provide an air pathway "around".

If you can draw air through it, try wrapping some tape around the adapter, sealing it from the carto to the top of the battery, and see if that changes things. If that works you can figure out where the air is getting in and find a more elegant way to plug the leak.

I re-read your post. The salesman sold you 3 clearos (not cartos) - sorry, misread that.

Do you know what type of clearo they are (or have a picture). Some of these are vented through the connector, but many are vented from the side, at the bottom. These won't work on automatics because there's no way to get the air to flow through the 510 connector.

Yeah, it's more likely it has a vent hole or is just not sealing well. I'm not even so sure that adapters of that type are even made in a sealed version.
