So, I have been vaping for two years , but I have been vaping serious (without cigarettes) for the last two months and will continue to do so (I said this 5 times, but this time I actually did it)..
So I am a mouth to lung vaper, with a direct lung addiction (which means I use direct lung a couple of times a day).
A have a kangertech k Kiss mech mod for this and some ego batteries (the long round ones, for the other).
Now I am ready to buy a mod , but ohhh boy.. I have been reading and reading (I am Danish, so my spelling might not be so good ), and just got more confused.

I like a mod that is capable of both mouth to lung and direct, and since my hands are big, not a little istick pico 25 mod..

I want external batteries and the ability to use temperature control..

I use nautilus mini and the regular nautilus , with 1.6 ohm, and a kangertech tank with 1.2 ssocc coils (for direct lung)..

The best would be to get a mod with one battery, but this is not really important.

The mod should be able to use 25 mm tanks (i think my nautilus is 23 though), and have a display.

So anyone has a tip on a good mod.. The prize is not important, I expect to be using it for a couple of years .

myvaporstore.com has the innokin proton (mod only) for $47. does temp. it takes two 18650s and can charge them internally via USB if you've got a USB wall hub. (or externally) battery life with two 18650s is great & you're saving $20 buying the mod instead of the tank kit. MVS has nautilus coils too. it'll fit 25mm tanks. it's funny, I avoided dual batt mods for a while because i've got smaller hands, but this mod is no bigger than some of my single bat mods. it's a box, which I think you'll enjoy. very tactile.

it'll hit 235 watts, which is insanity. mine stays at 65-80 for DTL and i'll go all the way down to 40 watts for MTL vaping. the shop has the SONY VTC bats & the Samsung INR purples both for under $10. i'd buy 4, if you grab a two battery mod.

you can probably grab an RDA & still be under $100 with coupon code: 15off. ($15 off orders of $100+) The demon killer RDA comes with premade coils, & i'm sure you've got cotton balls at home. Would be a fun package to open & play with for a new mod user 4 sure.

As long as mods have enough power (and all of the new ones do), they will gladly take MTL or DL atomisers.

The number of solid "rookie" mods out there is overwhelming. Any specific wishes concerning looks/aesthetics?
Nope, but if it could take a little water it would be great.. When it rains etc ...

Well the Geekvape ages is pretty indestructible including water. It can be had for a reasonable price these days, and it's a single battery mod. Might be worth looking into. Also, there is a two battery version, the Geekvape Legend, but I'm going to guess it may be larger than what you want, need. I don't have the ages, but I do have the Legend and I love it, the build quality is great. There are tons of other smaller, less expensive mods you may find wading through some of the later part of this thread to be useful in terms of suggestions. The Proton is also very nice, although I don't know how water proof it is and also it's a 2 battery mod, but you have tons of style and choice options.

Good luck, welcome to ECF and congrats on making the switch!

Actually the legend seems nice.. I have big hands, so a lot of the mods I have tried to grap (not grap like in stealing) is too small.

The juice attachment, or tank, determines the type of draw you get....not the mod. The mod is just a battery device to supply power to the tank.

Not many tanks can do both MTL and DTL equally well, they are generally better at one or the other. One possible exception might be the tank that I use. Original Uwell Crown Clearomizer Tank

The ratcheted air control ring can be adjusted for an open DL draw. Adjusted to be nearly closed off, it is a MTL draw. It has a wide bore drip tip; substituting it for a narrow bore drip tip makes it an even better MTL.

It has a 4 ml e-liquid capacity. It has a 22 mm diameter.

There are plenty of external battery regulated mods available. A few that I recommend are in this blog. Good Starter Setups for a Beginner Vaper

ahh I noticed you said you were danish. still, the proton is a solid starter that's up to speed technology wise.

2 yrs is a long road for a mod, especially if you like to retire gadgets that have taken a few scrapes or falls. keep this in mind.

I don't find the Legend at all unduly heavy or hard to grasp. In a pocket though it might be a bit much and I'd imagine this mod is going to be an all day carry, etc., plus he stated he doesn't need a two battery mod.

I love the handfeel on the Legend and don't find it at all cumbersome. But, I also own and fervently use a GIGANTIC PURSE.

I'm gonna mebe piss off some collectors but…take a peek at the HohmTech Slice at their outlet, vaporcube.com. The item is discontinued and a closeout but when you see the price you may understand.

This TC mod is one of the most versatile and rugged I've ever owned or used. The 26650 is like the diff between and 4-banger and a hefty V8, you really feel the power (and taste it) without the bulk of duals. Gratifying vape time with the higher cap batt and a lot less bulk. Great ergonomic hand feel.

The producer ran into some issues early on with the finish on zinc (which is great) so the item has been mostly and unduly ignored (since so many mods strip out). It may be easily and beautifully re-skinned though to a personalized and rather unique result. If you strip it it looks amazing as naturally oxidized raw zing, and rugged. A rather amazing gain for us in a great product for their loss.

Have a peek. For 10$ you can't lose. Buy two. :D

Good luck.

p.s. I think you'll need PayPal.

I have a Holm Tech mod that I purchased on deep discount. I am afraid to admit that other than checking it worked, like, I haven't used it. I just got it because it was so deeply discounted and well I thought the kanthal thing was cool.

WHAT is the story with this mod, actually, I want to know? I mean if the kanthal is like it is said, IDK why like Evolv took over and etc, I mean they're discontinued right? Did something happen, and did it involve secret threats, special handshakes and a Silent Brotherhood of those who Watched the Holm whatever mod exit quietly stage left? I mean. I'm going to get mine out and play with it, that is how curious I am.

Because it seems like it just OUGHT to be the greatest thing since sliced bread or tea and cookies or whatnot.
