SO I got bored the other night and ended up watching GrimmGreen sell the hell out of the EGO Twist on one of his youtube videos. I have been considering a VV Device, and for the price, this might be the way to go.

Anyhow let me keep this short and sweet. I have 2 questions that I am interested in finding answers too.

1) Can you use a KGO charger on the EGO Twist? Is there anyone out there who is has tried this or currently doing this?

2) Is vaping actually better on a V.V. device? I have been vaping with the Kgo for about 6 months now. It works well using a BOGE LR Single Coil Cartomizer (2.0 OHM). I have bought tanks and dual coil carts, but they are battery killers! I can get through 12hrs on a Single Coil Carto. I'm assuming that that with an EGO Twist, you would have the same battery issues with a 1000 mah device.

I would really like to utilize a tank system. I do get tired of topping off my carts all day long. Not to mention, I've come close to wrecking numerous times, while topping off and driving.

Any input would be helpful!

VV allows you to adjust each juice to obtain it's sweet spot.
I have some juices that the flavor will burn away if it's to hot and others need more heat to get that flavor to really pop.
I don't know how anyone can vape w/o some sort of VVPV in there arsenal unless you only vape 1 juice and between the batt & device, it's already at it's sweet spot.

Use Joy charger for joy batts and KGO for kgo, don't mix.
As far as difference between them, not much...
KGO, unregulated and comes off the charger @ 4.1-4.2v and slowly goes down as it's used.
Twist, regulated voltage throughout the vape until the batt reaches it low point, then shut down indicating a needed charge.

Edit: KGO max volts off charger 4.1-4.2 then slowly declines.
Twist steady output anywhere from 3.2-4.8v depending on where you set it.

Now it makes sense - been vapin only 3 months - maybe a few more weeks down the road and VV will be my next purchase - thanks......

NP damthisisfun, for me VV is worth it as I spend most of my money on juice and I want each flavor to be the best that it can be.
Also as devices (Cartos/CE2/CE3/CE4's) are used they seem to change. Either the coil will start to gunk up or it will start to change in resistance. So having a VV batt to compensate seems to help in keeping the vape a constant and get more life out of the device.

I have 3 twists. I have been charging them for months now with Kgo and Riva chargers. My Twists normally have Vivi Novas on them and perform well. My Kgos all sport DCT tanks with single coil Resurrectors. Some juices will perform great at 3.7 while others are better at 4+. Bottom line I guess is if the Kgo and carts are working for you then get a tank set up for single coil carts and enjoy longer times between fills. Good luck.

I have two twist 1000 mah. I would not bother with any 650 mah battery with vv. I love my twist they have a great all day battery life and they are solid. I am a communications tower climber/engineer and regularly take my twist with a mom and pop vapor shop mini sub tank up 500 feet or more they get abused on a daily basis.

don't drip and drive, dont' even top off drive. and i'm pretty sure you shouldn't drip and climb too. i'm glad to hear your twists are durable, i just ordered my first one which is also going to be my first VV. But i doubt it would survive a 500 foot fall and i'm sure you wouldn't so be careful up there.

Have you looked at the KGO VV that Hoosier e-cig has. . A few more bucks over the twist and 3v-6v will give you more options than the twist. Just a thought

Jay

If the KGO VV had been out when I bought my twists I would have gone with them. The twists have a better button and a 1000mah option, but overall I think the KGO has more going for it.

Am I missing something? The kGo has a Variable Voltage now. Why not get that? It has a better range of volt choices (betwen 3 and 6 volt in .1 increments). It works good...can be plugged in to charge while still vaping (a la passthrough...sorta). I have one and I like it much better than the Twist.

NEVER mix the eGo stuff with kGo stuff...except for cartomizers and tanks! Always use kGo chargers with kGos and ego chargers with eGo.

The VV kGo is here. KGO V.V. 650mAh

Charges fast too. So I don't mind the 650 mAh. Besides..you can still vape while it charges, and I'm always near some sort of power source all the time. It's cool.

According to Phil Busardo's video review, the KGO VV does not use a true passthrough design. The vaping power is supplied only from the battery, not from the USB cable current. This means that if the battery is nearly drained before being plugged in for recharging, the device will not operate (since the low-voltage cutoff will kick in). Also, the usb cable---which apparently uses a proprietary connector rather than a standard mini- or micro-usb connector---is too short to allow comfortable use of the device during charging. The user will need a male-to-female usb extension cable to give adequate length.

These shortcomings aren't necessarily deal-breakers, but they are worth noting if someone is weighing pro and con factors to decide whether or not to purchase.

It actually doesn't give that many more options. I just works better with higher-resistance attys/cartos/clearos.

Now, the power output that pbusardo showed in his video/chart does look a little cleaner, and that might be a reason. As would the ability to vape while charging. But they have roughly similar current limits, so neither one really works with really low resistance stuff. And a 1.8ohm head on the twist should give a similar experience to a SR head on the kGo VV.

Definitely worth considering, but I'm not sure it's hands-down better, especially with that button design.

That button was the deal breaker for me.
It seems that the Twist; KGO-VV & iTaste are all similar in that they have variable voltage; small form factor and from the review numbers, perform well.
I settled on the newer iTaste as the wifes next pv as I think it is a much nicer looking device and the button is easier in form and function.
