Ok chuckaholism is getting the best of me
I want to order a chuck to accomodate my little chuck
Just looking at what else i would need (batts, a batt sleeve etc)

At first I bought the 16340's for my LC but soon got the 18350 as everybody recommended...

Now according to the thagbuilt website
3.0 volt batteries can also be used for a 6 volt option. CR123's will work as-is.

according to madvapes my 16340 is also a cr123

am i interpreting this right??

if so what does as-is mean
will they work? Do I still need a sleeve?

Thanks everybody...!!

A CR123a battery is 16 mm long, 34 mm circumference and round, so it can also be called a 16340 (16 34 0). 16340 batteries can come in 3v, 3.6 or 3.7 v. So some sites will also refer to 3v CR123's and 3.7 CR123's. USUALLY a CR123 is not rechargeable - RCR123's are rechargeable, but some sites will refer to rechargeable CR123's.

You DO NOT NEED A BATTERY SLEEVE for a Big Chuck unless you intend to use CR2 batteries that you already own. In general, what's being referred to as CR123's or 16340's are more reliable/longer time between recharges, and they are the correct size for the Big Chuck.

The Big Chuck is meant to run at 6v with 2 of those CR123/16340 batteries at 3v each, but some people use 2 3.7 v batteries. You are more likely to 'pop' a regular atomizer at that voltage, and have to be careful about only taking 2-3 second vapes. High Voltage atomizers reduce that risk when vaping with 2 3.7v batteries.

yun, the Thagbuilt manager is Jeff. Don't panic if he doesn't email you back very quickly. He gets many emails and it takes a while to get through them all.

If you placed an order through the Thagbuilt website, you will not always get an email confirmation. Sometimes you will not hear anything until the Chuck shows up.

Being in Seoul, I can see why you might have some shipping details to work out or something. He will contact you if he has any questions about getting your order to you.

Did you order a Chuck?

I use the tenergy 900 mAh's myself but that's because I bought them before I ever heard of the LifePO4's.

Some people say they have had problems with the 900 mAh ones tripping the protection circuit but I've never had that problem. And I think I have enough of the batteries and the chargers that I won't need to buy any others for a very long time.

I also have a pair of 750 mAh ones made by AW - I got them from Lighthound, and they list them as being Li-Ion, not LifePO4.

As long as we're asking battery questions here...

The Little Chuck can take either a 16340 or a 18650. These are very similar in width (16-18mm) but the 18650 is about 30mm longer than the 16340.

How does this work?

Hah! There are lots of pictures of Hugh Laurie smoking if you know where to look. "Jeeves and Wooster" has the most. I started off with one of those. But then I remembered the opening of "Peter's Friends." I'll be keeping this one for quite a while. :p
