So I was able to get my wraps to 1.4 and 1.7 ohms. First time really using cotton wicks. I get a cottony taste, and it seems my juice still tastes kind of faint, and I'm not getting super lots of vapor. It maybe the juice, or it may be my coil since I'm using 32g. But, my 28g is in the mail. So I've at least proved (to myself) that i can make wraps decent enough to vape with Lol. So should only get better once I have more correct wire! I was also able to clean up my Mini and get the button to not be so hard to press. Hooray! Thanks for everyone's help, and patience with the nooblette!
SO. here is my pic! Mini and Mini 2.1!

Sounds like a bit too much cotton. Try taking a *very* small pinch and lightly rolling it just enough to feed through. It'll take a tiny bit of practice but will make such a difference.

ah thank you. i didn't make it long, but i made it dense. gonna fix it!

Cute, cute tips! Your REO's are so pretty!

I was also getting a lot of cotton taste with my REO Grande - super_x_drifter coached me through it - the coil is now right up on the edge of the deck (without touching it or the cap), and very little cotton wicking - it needs to move freely through the coil when you move it back and forth, and then trim it up.

I'm also using organic cotton balls for my cotton source that I got from Walgreens. I also have a full roll of sterile cotton from CVS - I think I'm wicked for life! LOL

Great mini family there. Move your coil closer to the floor for more flavour and more pronounced sweeter tones. And less throat hit.

Yah, that's what I had been doing. With a little less cotton, and still cottony taste. Gonna try silica and a kind Reonaut is going to let me try some rolled cotton. :)

So, after vaping on my own built coils all night, I'm getting some taste, but it's very weak compared to what I vaped in my protanks. I moved the coil as close to the bottom of the rm2 as i could without it touching. Is this something that will hopefully be resolved with using better wraps? These coils were 1.8 ohms, but with 30g. Do larger, or rather, longer? coils like the microcoils help with taste?
Thanks reo lovers :)

Oh, so you have used cotton on a coil that is not a micro coil. Not so sure that will work properly. Have only read about cotton in micro coils, never otherwise. If you just wrap, you need 3mm silica doubled, like in the video below. Here is a link to a photo tutorial on micro coils - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/413000-rm2-rba-2-0-reomizer-2-rebuild-tutorial.html. For me, cotton only works after I boiled it at least 3 times.

reomizer 2.0 - YouTube

Thanks matthee. i was under the impression you can use cotton in any coil, regardless of it being a micro. today my 28g comes in the mail, so i'll be making some micro coils :)

When you get there, you will get MORE flavor out of the RM2 than any protank/evod/nova. At least I sure did.

Using the right amount of cotton is hard. When I use too little, I burn wicks. By too little...I mean the recommended amount

I like them a little tighter, and a practically try to flood them...works for me.

when i get there :p haha. im starting to wonder if it's actually the juice that im using, now that I feel like I'm getting the hang of squonking a bit better. My mini is hitting good, with a good taste from one vendor, but my mini 2.1 while it's hitting well, i get that sweet cotton taste. So maybe that vendors juices while they taste good in protanks, just doesn't work in my reo for me. i'm gonna swap out the cotton and juice later and put something else in and see.

I did it! Made some 1.3 ohm micro-ish coils this morning, first shot on both. Coil placements are good, ect. I've seriously come to the conclusion that for whatever reason MBV juice that I loved in protanks, just does not work in my reos. No matter which juice, no matter how strong, all I get is a sweet cotton taste. Ahlusion, vapor chef, and good life vapor tried, and no cotton taste, just juice. Apparently my reo's are not frugal!

Don't judge me on my tastes in juice :/ lol
