Hi friends,

I've got a confession: I love, love, my mini Reo and Woodvile. IMHO, I get the best flavor from these little beasts of anything I've ever tried (and this love affair has been going for almost 2 years). BUT here's the confession, I leave them at home (sad & lonely) when I'm out and about in favor of a tube, and maybe more front jeans pocket friendly mod. I also tend to be a stealth, more private vapor. Recently though I've been looking at those cute little boxes in a new, fresh light.

Lately, I've been rethinking my opinions & assumptions. Am wanting to hear from those of you who pack their Reos around in their front pant pockets and what is your experience? I'm on the move all day and not really able to set it any one place. I know how to lock them to keep from mis-firing, I'm mostly interested in leakage issues.

thanks

May want to consider a mini 14500 when they come out again. Limited battery life but can't beat them for pocket friendly!
I imagine a tube mod in pants pocket must lead to "oh my" type of stares???

One thing I would add is that if you carry it in your front pocket the Reo will get warm. It's possible it could auto feed in which case you'd get juice out the air hole. Especially if you've squonked and there is a lot of juice that didn't get sucked back down or vaped off. I don't know how likely this is as I have the reducers in my Reo tubes to help prevent it. I did get auto feeding when holding the Reo with my left hand on the steering wheel, right in front of the heat vent (This winter, which it still is for us, supposed to get snow tonight.) So I know it's a possibility.

If you've got an LP grand, the Rogue atty is perfect for pocket carry. It's top airflow design makes it the most leak proof atty on the market AFAIK. Catfish atty mods will have some bottom fed versions for sale soon. You can squonk half a bottle of juice into it and it stays dry.

What are these "Reducer Tubes" you mention? I'm just about to order my first Reo and I spend most of my day driving an off-road vehicle in 85-90 degree temps. My Reo will be in cargo pants pocket so anything I can do to eliminate leakage would be good.

what atty do you use? As soon as Chowderhead gets them in stock getting a Rogue atty! Airflow is on top of the atty so it would literally have to be upside down in your pocket to leak. You can squonk till your finger breaks and not have to worry about juice coming out your airflow hole. I can't wait! So, something like that may work for you....:2c:

Reos come with some spare parts, these tubes are tiny and only about 1/2" long. They go into the bottom of the tube that goes into the juice bottle. I cut them in half before using them. You can also get them out pretty easily if you don't shove them up too far. They simply reduce the inside diameter of the tube the juice goes through. Some people use them, some don't. They're easy to miss in the parts bag. I don't even know if they are still included...

Now days when I go out to run errands I usually take one of the Woodvil's, which size sometimes depending on how long the trip will be. The 14500's for walks, a 18490 for short errands, one of the 186ro's for longer runs.... and all of them just carried in a shirt pocket. Now have a Mini OG as well with a holster.

I live in a city where you definitely DO NOT have to stealth vape. But I do have what could be called stealth mods because of their size... The Don and The Donkey... The Megalodon and MicroStick in '350 config. The MS houses the atty inside it and will fit in the coin pocket of a pair of Levis.

My sister carries a REO Mini 1.0(14500) in her front pocket everyday and needs about 2 batteries to get through an entire 3ml bottle. She vapes a 1.8 - 2Ω microcoil (30 guage Kanthal) in a Hornet atty. Robert said he was doing another run of the Mini 1.0s so I'd think that would get you what you need.

I carry a REO Grand in my back pocket or inside pocket of a suit coat without issue but even a Mini 2.1 seems a bit much in the front pocket of my Levi's. It fits but is a noticeable bulge in my pocket. A Mini 1.0 goes in my front pocket everyday for when I'm away from my desk or sitting through long meetings. Heck it's small and light enough to be kept in my front shirt pocket without noticing anything but a small part of the drip tip.

Whoever carries a Mini in their coin/watch pocket unnoticeable has some big-... jeans.. No offense intended as I go almost 200#s (not hashtag :p). Brew

Do you know if the Rogue can be used with a single coil? Thanks!

Have always wondered what those are for and didn't think to ask. So their purpose is to keep one from over-squonking? Bet they work better with PG than VG?

Actually, no, they're to prevent the juice from autofeeding, which is a possibility in higher temps, although, personally, I've never had the issue, even in 100+ temps.
