Yeah I'm just trying to figure out how you'd know it was exactly 180 degrees. I've been cooking for 30 yrs, but still can't figure out how to know if the inside of a turkey is 160 degrees. I just give it whatever hours are recommended based on its weight, but obviously that wouldn't apply to ejuice.

You guys must have hellacious scientific-lab kitchens.

Have you ever heard of a meat thermometer? Go and look at this link, it is a very handy thing to have around the kitchen.

150F is what was found to be the optimal steeping temperature based on a 4 - 5 hour steep but 180F for a shorter period of time (Lets say 2 hours) will accelerate the steeping process without an unusually large break down of NIC. So my opinion is 180F is as valid as 150F. Now as I've not actually tried 180F this would just be my educated common sense opinion.
